There is a strong reaction because people value their privacy and ability to do what they want with their own cash!

Poor journalism on ABC's behalf............oh wait............ABC is owned by the gov!!!!!!
John Adams interview on ABC a few days ago was also cut short.
    Why are people nervous?
Because the black economy task force does nothing to stop the real back economy.

This is just a smoke screen for the real reason of the cashless society.
With bail in laws now in place, interest rates going to negative and now the push for a cashless society means you have no control over your cash if left in bank institutions. So why is this a problem?
Fees and charges and even more frightening, waking up one morning and your savings has been taken to bail out the bank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I earnt my cash and have already paid tax on it!!!!!!!I will decide how to preserve my cash and I will decide whether or not to bail out a failed bank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I hope cashless never happens.

Once its gone, we've lost another freedom. The freedom to spend, hold, give and receive legal tender as we wish without scrutiny.

We can help keep cash alive by making the effort to withdraw it, use it and and by keeping some aside for those moments when EFT fail.

It’s a funny state where people don’t like fiat but don’t want to let go of cash which is currently fiat.

For me it's more like this....
If we're going to use fiat as our primary means of trading, I'd like to keep the OPTION of using cash rather than being forced to have every transaction recorded.

The next logical step from going cashless is it to itemize each and every thing we buy.
    20-8-19
    $83 Bottle shop/1.25l Jack Daniels
    $7 coles/2x 2l cola
    $25 Chemist/XXL flavored glowing condoms.
    23-8-19
    $36 Chemist/crab-away louse lotion.

What's the wife going to thing about those purchases on my recent fishing trip o_O

No law abiding citizen deserves to have every dollar they spend scrutinized by insurance companies, banks, governments or police. That's the path were heading down by going cashless.

Imagine having your health insurance premium raised because they see you've made a purchase at smokemart or the local bottle shop.

How about if the government decides to charge capital gains tax on our PM?
Most of my PM has been bought with cash.
They'll be able to trace and track every cent if they go down the cashless path.

Its nobody's buisnes what you or I buy at the local chemists, bottle shop, hardware store or supermarket, that's the way I want to leave it.

We use cash to buy PM's. Limits on cash are in actuality a limit on our ability to buy more PM's.
Cashless means more people know about my purchase than i feel necessary.

Cashless definitely makes everyone an unsecured creditor to the banking cartel ...

Just like the Chinese Social Credit system (digital dictatorship).

Australian politicians are pushing for the exact same social credit system under the guise of 'tackling the black economy'. It's a very slippery slope.

They'll start the financial censorship/dictatorship by targeting people dependent on gov payments. Like they did with vaccinations and the FTB payments.

It's almost as if every gov around the world are following the same script, heading toward totalitarianism.

But how can they? it's not like there is some one world government being established. We are all independent democratic countries, well that's what the news and school told me
