Are proofs the only versions they release? I haven't gotten into the lunars yet, but I plan on picking a few up of the next series...

More bullion releases announced. 1/10 gold kook looks nice (but gawd these fractionals are expensive at the mint). Mintage 7'500 (although Ainslie says 15'000?).
    Bull&Bear silver 1oz mintage 25'000.

Those kooks look great but let's see what they go for on secondary market. Definitely won't be paying mint prices for them.

Looking at prices paid on SS I will never buy from the mint again unless it is something truly unique

For example-on 10 gold mouse 1/10 oz you can save up to $300 when you buy at dealers /Jaggard/-big difference and big greed.

I can’t believe people are still buying them up. Perhaps I don’t see where these are being traded but I just don’t see these numi’s holding or gaining value.
Can anyone correct me on this?

Other thread has limited edition ASE selling for 10k USD. It's absolutely nuts. Seems like the collectors market has an entirely different pricing scheme. It makes no sense to me at all

I can relate to it for something that is genuinely unique. However imho there are very very few genuinely unique coins being produced today. If I want to spend some real money I am going to buy a 1930 penny in superb condition or a proof 1927 Parliament House or something of that nature. And it would have to have some great provenance with it. Future values just aren’t there but of course that is just my opinion. What I can say is that I am not a buyer.

That 10k coin has a signed COA which makes it 1 of 100. Then it has been sent in unopened so the coin and COA get slabbed which would likely make it only 1 of 50 to go through that process. Then it has been rated a 70 which would make it 1 of 40 at most (likely less).... Considering that ASE proofs are normally printed in the millions I can see how this gets that price but it is still crazy money!
