Yep... or Hulk Hogan versus Ric Flair.

It is all just nonsense. To really have a seat at the table of change, you need many millions or even billions of dollars (depending on the level). Even the politicians who go in with good intentions quickly get corrupted and/or roadblocked by others who are in lobbyist pockets. The high level politicians are just doing a job, and getting that job requires massive funding to campaign, so they become puppets indebted to the funding organizations.

Life is about personal relationships, romance, health and hobbies, and meaningful work. Happiness and freedom are the goals. Politics hardly ever brings anyone happiness; you mostly just see conflict and high blood pressure stem from people who like to follow it. Politics has no more of a role in life than pro sports or TV or movies or any other distraction (do them in moderation, and only if you enjoy them). I'm happy to say I can't name most politicians or celebs besides those I accidentally scan in headlines.

These days when I'm voting I always keep in mind, a vote for the major parties is a wasted vote.

Yes. My local member wrote a Ministerial Enquiry for a problem I had, problem was reviewed and I was happy with the outcome.

I meant a detailed matter that could be verified ... not asking for someone to make a vague affirmative ...

What are we really voting for .... why is the ALP a member of The Progressive Alliance (PA)?

a political international of social-democratic and progressive political parties and organisations founded on 22 May 2013 in Leipzig, Germany.[1] The alliance was formed as an alternative to the existing Socialist International, of which many of its member parties are former or current members.[2] The Progressive Alliance claims 140 participants from around the world.

Why is the Liberal party a member of ACRE ... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alliance_of_Conservatives_and_Reformists_in_Europe

    Both headquarters in Germany ....

My dad approached his local members about 55 years ago about removing taxes on wheelchairs. Travelled to Canberra and spoke to some public servants as well and tax was removed.

    But that was last century.

Well, I’m not giving out personal details. The matter was complex and related to my military service and entitlements. CARO (Central Army Office Records) mucked up policy application and was being a pain in recognizing their error. So...as far as I am concerned this is not a vague reply. I had an issue, the issue affected a number of Diggers with my ECN (Employment Category Number) my MHR got it resolved when DOD(AO), Corps HQ and CARO could care less.

If you wanted to know if an MHR or Senator had fixed an issue involving major government policy you should have been more specific.
