That woman must be ripped! She was carrying several 400oz bars like they were grocery bags!

I need a pallet jack to move mine around.

Good ad, raises some valid points (theatrics aside).

It’s why I started the The future of gold thread, in particular because cryptos offer an alternative to precious metals in a society operating with a market currency or currencies.

I think that gold has some place in an investment portfolio purely because it is in demand, just as other commodities are also in demand.

its not software, it cant be forked. once asteroid mining comes in it will become less scarce and lose value, so for future proofing its not the best investment but we have some time before then.

Bitcoin and cash at bank / shares etc are effectively worthless when the electricity ain't working due to blackouts for that time period as one may not be able to use PC. One's ISP could be down, as too the bank's computers (and ATM's) therefore unless you have another way or transacting a digital transaction, you are stuffed....given present IT infrastructure.

Recent blackouts in parts of Venezuela saw Bitcoin trade reduce by up to 40% during the near nationwide blackouts earlier this year.

I like to have some spare FIAT lying around and some tradable asset like PM's. Rolling blackouts in SA a couple of years back due to their Govt's criminal actions which near crippled their own power supply combined with a forward looking view of the whole of Aust should the ALP come to power (and pander to the Greens) means in time, we too in the wider Australia will most likely face power shortages / blackouts / load shedding due to ideological views of the loony left....hard to transact without functioning IT.

Someone with more gold than they can carry wouldnt be carrying it. They could afford to hire people to carry it for them and hire people to keep an eye on those people. It's that clumsy!

Either certain individuals in this video purchased their gold bullion several thousand percent below spot, or they’re billionaires
