just wondering if someone opened an unpaid case against you and you wont pay for the item, after seller cancelled the transaction can they leave negative feedback (to the buyer that is).thank you
I've had many arguments with Ebay staff ( phone ) over 'negative feedback' … My chief beef is: A 'buyer' who DOES NOT pay, can leave Negative Feedback on the seller. Typical a-hole behaviour, is the buyer ( winning bidder ) changes their mind. Refuses to pay ( any number of reasons ), and in response to the seller stating 'action will be taken' …. by opening up 'unpaid case', the buyer then lodges Negative Feedback ( usually along the lines of 'seller threatened me' etc. ) Ebay will ALWAYS side with a buyer, over a seller !!! ( even if no transaction actually took place ). Go figure !!!
Negative feedback is a killer and there are a lot of tossers out there with unreasonable expectations. It is possible to have negative feedback removed. have you called them? I have found them to be reasonable at times and they do have discretionary powers. Good luck.
it will only concern me when negative feedback is on items which me trying to buy. if it is a small plastic sticker that is not the correct size. etc minute non related feedback, does not carry weight
The only message I normally send is something like: "thank you for bidding. The payment is overdue. The ebay has charged me the fees already, so if there is no payment I am forced to open the case with eBay to reimburse the fees" In 10% of my cases buyers paid ... the rest didn't have any intention to do it anyway. The only thing which is left - blocking the buyer from further bids on your auctions. why would one sell to the buyer, who refuses to pay? why would one be pissed off if the buyer changes his mind? I prefer not to get payment and not to ship, than ship and then face some silly claims that I must cover. P.S. negative feedback is there for 1 year, so as a seller do not think of it too much.
Yeah - don’t get caught up with feedback unless you’re close to losing Top Seller status. Best thing I ever did was go to instant payment.
I've got the opposite problem at the moment. I have won 2 auctions and when I tried to pay I have issues with my Paypal account and could not pay. Have messaged both sellers to ask for bank details so I can pay them directly but neither has responded after many days now. I'll keep messaging them, I want the coins, maybe they are just busy but struck me as a bit weird.
I stop using Paypal, using Transferwise now, the fee is half of that Paypal paying to trusted sellers should not be a problem, but need their address to add them into the system, just like adding a payee ac which need sms confirmation when the seller does not know you well, it may be a surprise to them to give out personal detail in China, people are using Ali pay, there is no fee like Paypal, bad in fee and worst exchange rate, we are not covered anyway, why pay more???
No, I don't think that he can leave you a negative feedback, but I know that in case you have one it is gonna be there for 8-12 months
