This is the rarest 5+ oz bar in my collection Its a 5.50 oz Harrington Bar An odd weight of 5.50 oz with side stamps I have never seen another like it. Sorry about the quality of the pics; I just don't want to remove this bar from its original packaging, no matter how crappy it looks IMG_20181201_093254 by Aurora et luna posted Dec 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM IMG_20181201_092641 by Aurora et luna posted Dec 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM IMG_20181201_092429 by Aurora et luna posted Dec 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM

Hi there, I'm paulha, new and ignorant member. I was just looking at a coupla old 10oz silver bars I bought more or less on a whim at a local auction and wondering how to identify the trademark (?} on them, looked like a small robot with TON printed on his belly when I saw , two messages up that they were Harrington...so thanks Aurora et luna. I thought I must contain my errant and compulsive buying ways and.................oh damm I've just bought an old ABC kilo bar .................how do you stop? Must be an antidote somewhere. Please keep this thread going to educate a very small old brain and thanks to Silver Stackers for funding the forum and the Moderators who ever they are!
Thought I would add as I think it's a real one of a kind. Fugly big bar ,never seen a pour like this.
I thought i would chuck this up here to so that an example can be kept on the forum for future reference given how rare they are 1 gram Engelhard bar
Having just struggled to find out how to put a meaningful entry into this forum without success ........... I now realize it is a very long slightly broken thread without clear direction which one can only use by making replies. I believe much important information and discussion is lost or slowly dissipated. For example I notice some members have tried to start historical threads on various mints ala engelhard which just petered out. I will bow to older experienced members but my feeble suggestion is we ask for a separate, dedicated section where we can have specific entries & threads about the world of collecting (and selling) silver bars. Any comment? In my annoyance I have now forgotten what I started out to say but at least I have bumped the thread! paulha
