I dont know if these are old or collectable but thought share a pic anyway.I think someone here likes Morris Watson bars.
The one ozers are definitely collectible here in the states. The H&M ones were going for $60 each a few years ago, but people must have seen that because now they're almost always available for purchase here. I believe the MW bars are still being produced in New Zealand but those don't look to have been produced recently.
After seeing some modern ones in a silver bar facebook group, I must retract my statement about them not looking recent LOL
Why say "cooling rings" instead of "swirls"? Is it coz someone here don't like the later being mentioned?
Hello ss,these are a couple of ABC poured bars, they have faint cooling ringsand round stamp on front right top, trouble getting pic up,will try again. Any info on bars would be appreciated ,especially age and if they fetch a premium. Cheers HC
they are all fakes the hong kong shanghai specie office never existed and never would as hong kong was under british control. from the information i could gather it looks to be some kind of dealer producing these in the 70's trying to make them appear older. the chinese means "fine silver", and a bit of googling comes up with not much information, they seem to be mintage under 400. http://china-mint.info/forum/index.php?topic=2724.0
dont let me put you off, they are real silver and quite collectible, just not the 1920's vintage bars they are pretending to be. i had been chasing one for a while since also seeing them go quickly at auction.
yes all 100g there are many still on the lists, but will take my time as and when they are available ....
