I don't buy stocks, but talking to a acquaintance earlier today I was informed that this company has just returned an outrageous core sample.

    Thank me later.
    have fun.

Looking at the annoucement It looks the halt was 11:20am EST today.

Care to elaborate on what your accuntance said.

They already made a high grade gold announcement on 30th Nov and another on 14th Nov.

Pretty sure they said this was more recent than that. Past week or something?
I can't remember exactly how high grade they said it was, but something like thousand's percent higher gold content than the average.
Whatever that is suppose to mean. the average for that location, the average of all gold mines in Australia? Worldwide?
Why would a trading halt on a company like this ? is it a common thing?

Fair enough. Training halts are quite normal and happen reasonably often.

They are normally done for several reasons, capital raising, important news good or bad to be announced and more.

They were already on my watch list. I'll keep an eye out.

If you hear anything more in future I'm interested to hear about it either in forum or message. If this is true should see a 20% rise come announcement. Thanks
