Hi guys I am new to acquiring PMs , I have some 1kg bars from Adelaide Exchange to get started. I would like some coins or smaller pieces to potentially use if the economy ever crashes. I'm not looking to make money shifting PMs, just want them as an insurance policy and looking to get educated on best ways to do things.
Yes the prices for silver seem pretty low at the moment so Im lucky with my timing. Do you have any recommendations in regards to smaller pieces of silver to get? I like the idea of 1oz coins buy maybe 5oz is the smallest I should be looking at? It seems to me if I have 1kg bars it may be harder to trade for many people in the future. Or would you recommend another metal for smaller amounts? 1g gold pieces maybe?
Welcome! My first ever silver purchase was from Adelaide Exchange too (city store), back when i was living in Adelaide. I always loved walking by and seeing what they had in their window, got some great deals from them. I still remember the feeling walking out the store with a 10oz silver bar in a paper bag Anywho it's a great time to buy as prices are low. Prices are just as low now as when i made my first purchase in 2010.
