bargains to be had, they are cheaper than all other exchanges, bitcoin at 15000, the rest seem in free fall aswell, cmc says prices shouldn't be that low?????

Hope Btc crashes all way down to zero where it belongs. Digital illusion of wealth backed by nothing = $0

$0 is a price point where I'm a buyer :D. But i think it will settle back under $2000. I don't see it dying, just the speculation side dying. I think john Mcafee will end up eating his dick, assuming he still has one. With all the random women he sleeps with that want to kill him, it could have been removed already.

I used to be like you, open your mind mate, I've made more in a week, than in years of silver and gold

Anyways seems the whole site had a flash crash, got ltc for 140, xmr for 280, btc for 14900, nxt for .5, prices back up again, that was an exciting couple of minutes

Lets not kid our self. It was a bull market where almost everything went up, all you had to do is put money in and wait or buy and sell at 20% spreads which happens every day. I'm not going to pretend i made money in cryptos because i did good research or was smart with TA or anything.

On a good note, you will be happy as there are much lower prices to come.

Congrats! Working is overrated, if you keep making big profits maybe you can retire soon. ;)

Backed by force.... Yes! I agree but it's not backed by anything it should be backed by... Like gold for example!

Force is all that is needed. I never said I liked it. It's a lot more effective then a few guys playing on the computer. Indirectly it's backed by oil and I would say that is very real.

Crypto isn't playing on a computer, its just maths. Even if the internet disappears your bitcoins are safe they just can't be used. That being said the reason all of us need to have precious metal insurance plans is because the internet may disappear or become heavily restricted in the future. Anyone putting 100% of their eggs in a basket is foolish imo.

Why are coinspots buy/sell prices so far above spot price?

Retail markup, if it's any consolation their buy prices match their sell prices 99% of the time.

CoinSpot claim to sell 2-3% above "spot" but most of their coins are way more than that

The good thing at least, is that when you sell/cash out you get the same inflated price back

Ideally, you would buy from somewhere else and cashout there :D

Supply and demand, I think. There are more Aussies buying crypto at the moment than selling, so our prices are higher. Great if you are selling. Korea has a lot of buying at the moment and their prices are even crazier.

If you are looking to buy in significant volumes, the price difference would justify signing up to a foreign exchange and paying the bank wire fees and forex charges to get cheaper prices. Then when time comes to sell, use a local exchange (if the price differences are still there at the time).

How long does it take for you to get verified when you open an account? I uploaded everything two days ago but haven’t even received an email saying it was received.

There is probably a backlog due to so many new people signing up recently.
