I was on holiday recently and ran into a friend with whom I was talking about selling my collectibles. He told me about Silver Stackers. He said to me that at very least you will always get the spot price for your silver and gold, I hope that is true. I have not gone deep into the forum yet but it seems like it might be the place for me. Is this an Australian run website? I can not find an "about us" button. Anyhow, I am happy to be here, to learn and see how you do things. My aim is to work out how it all works and then gradually sell off my collection, cheers to you all.
Hello Ling, It's a world site, started by Aussies. Take pics of your treasure (removed location tags) & show us, you will have buyers. Lots of good information on here, search & you will find.
Hi Ling and welcome, I am wondering what it is you have in your collection? And you should be selling above spot always even here... Best wishes
Thanks for the welcome SilverTounge15. I currently have this item for sale but I am not getting much interest. https://www.silverstackers.com/foru...commemorative-coin-set-25th-april-1990.85838/ My most expensive item that will go for sale soon will be "The Pride of Australia" $200 Gold Proof Coin. 22 carat, 10 gram. I see that they can fetch up to $895 on some websites but I think a more reasonable price might be $650 as shown here. https://sydneycoins.com.au/1990-two-hundred-dollar-pride-of-australia-gold-proof-coin-platypus Mine have some imperfections on the outside box that they came in so I understand it will be worth less than retail at a coin shop. I also have some silver coins too. One of them is 1927-1997 Old Parliament House Proof 1 troy ounce fine silver $1 coin. They sell for between $40 and $85. It will all come online soon. I've to get some feedback from others first so I can gain some credibility. I have posted 2 items already, those guys should be rating me soon. Thanks and all the best.
i might have someone interested in the $200 coin i think they said they were after the platypus, i will get back to you on that
Somethings happened that I never thought would. I came here to sell my old collection and I have done so with the help of a lot of forum members but then something happened. I have fallen in love with 1 ounce silver coins and in particular the native animals of Australia. I love them, the kookaburras, the crocs, the swans, the wedge tailed eagles, kangaroos and koalas. The Perth Mint makes such fantastic looking coins and has so many series over so many years. Rather than collecting a mix mash of everything I am going to concentrate on these coins and build up a collection and surpluses I will sell off on here hopefully. I bought my first lot here yesterday. Great fun, great forum and looking forward to interacting more.
