Can someone please help understand something.

I first sent 0.1 ETH to test Bittrex out, but Bittrex only shows 0.08831405 in my account. What happened to the rest, why is it left in the first address (0.00871...)

you can see i sent 0.1 ETH to the Bittrex address (0xcf6347....), but then that got transferred to another Bittrex address and i only got the 0.0883...?

When I've deposited stuff into BTCe or Poloniex, the amount i sent is the amount that shows up in the exchange account. So why is this not the case with Bittrex?

From what I'm seeing, it looks as if you received 0.1 ETH into this wallet. Then you sent 0.1 ETH out to Bittrex. The reason why you're only seeing less than 0.1 ETH is cos of the miner fees eating into the 0.1 ETH. So it's not an issue with Bittrex, but it's just you have to take into the miner fees when transmitting to the blockchain.

    No.
First you can see i sent 0.1ETH from myetherwallet to Bittrex ETH wallet. Then bittrex did another transfer to some other location and that's the amount they "credited" my account.
For some reason they left some ETH in the Bittrex ETH wallet. (which i have no access to)

    0x81e2b4.... is my wallet
0xcf637af.... is Bittrex ETH wallet which they gave to deposit funds into.
Bittrex_2 is something Bittrex did after the ETH went into the Bittrex ETH wallet.

I wish they are more transparent about this.
    What coins?
So are they converting ETH to BTC? otherwise why is the transfer fee so high (about 6.5x more then ETH normal fee)
Also why is another $2.74 left in that wallet? That is lost to me now.

This is very worrying as they dont keep the cryptos on hand. This will explain why the smaller cryptos always run into issue when people want to withdraw them. They have to buy them and then send it to you. This will only end badly. This is also happening with Poloniex, as withdrawing smaller cryptos takes ages.

Yep, I am in and out as quickly as possible with these exchanges, lost a packet with cryptsy and the time it takes to get verification for larger amounts on most of them now is torturous.
You can nearly always count on a few dribs and drabs left over on nearly all trades that are unable to be transferred or used as well. Add it up over a few thousand users though and it makes for a tidy float for the exchange.
They ought to let you swap them all out at least.

Hey Leo - did you ever get a reply to this? I have experienced exactly the same problem - however with different fees.

I have submitted 0.1 ETH to bittrex, and then I did another 0.1 ETH to bittrex 10minutes (approx) later. What I found was that I got different amounts of ETH in my bittrex account, yet the remaining ether is just still sat there in the wallet I was instructed to send to?!

    0.1 ETH to Bittrex = 0.09308715
    then
    0.1 ETH to Bittrex = 0.09824203

I should have 0.1995 ETH, which is 0.2 ETH minus the 0.25% transaction fee -

Instead I have only 0.19132918 ETH

    What is going on???

Is that legal?! Where's the justification? Or even the calculation?

Hi Joshua, unfortunately i never found out for sure why this happens. It's very disappointing that this happens without them explaining why.

It's like going to buy something at the shops for $4.5 with a $10 note and they only give you back $5 and don't explain why they kept the extra 50c.

    Thanks for the reply Leo.

I have a case open with Bittrex, and it is simply being ignored. I'm getting my funds out of this place asap! They are thieves!

Just an update regarding my OP. It all seems ok. I did a 2nd deposit and it seems the 1st deposit address just keeps about $1 worth in it (maybe for gas?) Because they credited my account a bit more then i put in this time. So you only lose a one off $1, not an issue.

I think if you deposit bitcoin, this might not happen.

Trex usually has double the miners fees for withdrawals
