1 Oz. Spot + express post w signature ($14) Offer ends midnight 19/05/17 Please quote spot when you buzz
I will be posting to Thankq first as he seems to have a solid reputation here. Can anyone confirm this please? Thanks!
t.shields, you need to be signed in, click on thankq's name in his avatar, this will open a window, at the bottom in Blue you will see "Trader History 18" click on this and then click on the corresponding feedback, this will show feedback left from members on items he or she has paid for or sold accordingly.
Thanks Ben. I did that and it does show that Thankq has very good past buyer ratings. I'm just new to trading and was wondering if there are any other seller safeguards when it comes to posting item first.
It's enough money to be a criminal matter if Thankq doesn't pay. I would 1. obtain proof of identity with an address. 2. use signature delivery postage to that address. 3. reflect that you could have sold it back to a dealer for much the same money, no risk.
I always thought the buyer had to pay first and upon receiving funds, the seller then posts the package? I guess everyone does it differently.
That is normally the case, but when someone new comes to the forum (the seller of this thread) most buyers are not comfortable sending payment first when the new seller has no history. By sending first to an established member with a proven track record, this gains trust amongst the selling community and protects both parties involved
I can understand why there would be hesitation from both parties biut someone had to make the first move. Thanks for the private messages and replies, I have asked for more ID from Thankq which he readily provided. I'm sure everyone has gone through this at some stage when they were starting out. I have not traded much in the past 5 years that I have been a member of this community and I have very limited reputation as a seller apart from another sale earlier this week which went well (buyer sent me the money first). I have sent the 1oz. already and I will keep everyone posted. I don't know how many sales I have to complete before I'm considered a trustworthy seller/buyer. I don't do this for a living. I'm a seasonal gold/silver investor who just happens to be offloading some metal.
Just a quick update. Thankq (buyer) received item today, sent me a pic the moment he got it then deposited 5 minutes later. I have to admit it was risky posting first but I got lucky Thankq was a good buyer. Will not hesitate dealing with him again. Faith in humanity restored. Thanks for all the messages and advice.
