    Hi there

Is anyone interested in me making them a coin ring?

I am still learning and practicing because of this I don't want money.

Whatever coin you want done I will take one of as payment. Ie if you would like a 1966 50c send me two. I keep one and return one to you as a coin ring. Expect a week long turn around. I make them by hand with a soft headed hammer and mandrell so they aren't perfect.

I can also add an antique patina to them which looks pretty cool.

    Anyone interested?

I have attached a pic of three of my previous ones.

Depending on finger size 1/2 oz, 1966 50s and US half dollars work best. But a little but bigger or smaller can also be done.

    Cheers

Yeah I've seen a couple of trench art florin rings that looked sweet.
Can you make them to a specific ring size?

    Hi Kilo

Thanks for the reply. Yes I can. Larger fingers need slightly larger coins. But mostly there is a lot of room for manouevre

    Cheers

Made for a member on this site.

Think the photos do too much justice. Still a little work to do and need practice needed. If anyone else is interested let me know. Will only be keeping the conditions of the deal going to till the end of the week. A very generous member sent me a lot to be getting on with.

    Cheers

might i also add that the round 50 is 80% silver which makes it harder to fold over, but 92.5 silver florins are a lot easyer and so are shillings as they are very thin

    That is awesome.

Do you use a hammer and mandrell? I am having troubles with the edges of the outside rim not folding very uniformly.

41E7DDCC-71F6-425A-AE2B-9F4D388DE127_zpsyg6urv6f.JPG i started off using that method but i now have all the coin making gear - if i can recommend the first thing you buy it would be a ring resizer that also has the reduction plate on the bottom

    Thanks

they both have the same gear on it - the one on the right was the first one a bought and i still use the reduction plate but i do have more gear that i use -
one reason your coins are lopsided is the hole isnt in the centre, this is a bugger to get right in the start

    good luck

Made for a member of this site. Patina then polish. Quite keen to avoid any machines. Seen a guy do it in 2 minutes with machines in YouTube. Ruins the magic, so gonna stay with nylon hammer and mandrell. Means imperfections though. IMG_20170502_184729.jpg

    Hi guys

Quite prepared to keep going with the original deal if there is interest.

For the time being not looking for anything bigger than a US half dollar, or '66 50cents, 1/2 T oz. Also silver content is great. Copper clad nickel and especially cupro-nickel is very hard.

    Cheers
    Scott
