Hi all, Looking for expressions of interest for 1/4 oz American gold eagles. 8 in total (6x 1998, 1x 1994, 1x1999). Some photos attached. Pickup nsw central coast or post available if a deal can be made. Messages via pm only please. Will probably sell 4 but possibly all of them if there is interest. I don't really want to sell them but need 2 air cons in a hurry for summer. Won't be posting before payment. Sorry. Best regards
Understandable. Can also possibly do an escrow arrangement via a trusted known member if someone wanted to offer on a bulk lot. I know there are some prominent members I could deliver the coins to and they could hold as a third party during payment if they were happy to be involved. Or could deliver within a reasonable distance (3- 4 hours either side of Sydney).
Genuinely curious why you think a member like Raven (registered 2014 with 67 positive buying feedback, zero negative) would choose you to scam on the 68th trade?
Didn't imply anything like that in the reply. It's my preference to do a deal f2f or on my terms. It won't suit everyone. Sending $6k through the post to a stranger isn't something I do everyday. The same goes for a buyer paying $6k before post. Lots of things can go wrong so a compromise might make both parties more comfortable to make a deal happen. Not slinging mud. Just trying to do a deal.
Message sent. I don’t have any gold eagle yet, so it’s quite new to me. They are not 9999 gold but 22k, right? Cheers!
They are 22k but contain 1/4oz of fine gold so they weigh in at .27oz in total. They are the same as a Krugerrand in that respect
hoping this might help. This is one of your photos. I think it says 1/4 Oz fine gold, which I think is 24ct. I realise however I could be mistaken and would ask more experienced stackers to comment. All the best.
Composition is 91.67% gold (22k) , 3% silver, balance copper with a reeded edge. The one-quarter ounce coin, $10 face value, is 0.866 inch (22.00 mm) in diameter, contains 0.2500 gold troy ounce and weighs 0.2727 troy ounce (8.483 g) Each 1-ounce Eagle contains a full 31.1 grams of pure gold, with an additional alloy of silver and copper, bringing the total weight up to about 33.9 grams. So to clarify, they are 22k coins containing the correct amount of pure gold for the weight stated on the coin.
