I realise that this is a seemingly daft question, but having looked at the UK trading section it does look pretty quiet at silverstackers. Do people typically buy and sell pm's via vendors or is the UK trading section just particularly inactive?
The vast majority here are based in Australia, I'd guess the next largest group is from the US and then Australia's neighbours (NZ, Singapore etc.) So if you're after something rare and willing to pay a premium, or after something from an Australian mint, you're probably better off posting in the main section if you're fine with post (many members post internationally). But UK-UK you'd be limited.
Thanks a lot Revils, that does explain things. I am looking to sell some Philharmonikers & Maples but it probably wouldn't make much sense to send these abroad from here.
Regarding non Australia trading, what is the best way to identify bullion private sales in New Zealand ?
If not specified in the post you could ask, or click (or tap) on the member’s name and their profile will pop up and it may include their location.
There's a couple silver forums big in the UK but forgot their names off the top of my head Will update this comment if I remember
Not sure about private sales, but I have purchased precious metals from Mowbrays Collectables located just north of Wellington in New Zealand. They hold a couple of major numismatic auctions each year with a good selection of both gold and silver coins at reasonable prices, so it might be worthwhile to have a look at their next offering if you have not already done business with them.
The big one in the UK is called "The Silver Forum" - Look it up on Google as I'm not sure if it's ok to post the link here. It's probably the best one for UK/Euro residents
