Hey all, this new subscription for the James Bond releases has some pretty damn attractive incentives.

    http://www.perthmint.com/catalogue/james-bond-official-25-coin-collection-subscription.aspx

Spoke to the mint and they are trying this format out. I for one found the free shipping, reduced cost for the first and second coin in series PLUS a 0.5g Gold coin damn attractive!

No word on if the subscription option is limited, only the coins themselves have a mintage right now (12007 for each release) but I just thought I would share in case anyone was interested

You have to pay $9.95 shipping for the initial order of 2 coins and the 2 folders but, like you said, shipping on the rest is free.

    Meh, at least it's ordered. I don't mind pre-orders as I know they'll turn up eventually :)

Apparently not the 0.5g coin any more...

Will be available in June for subscribers only at a cost of $89

Is there a way to view websites as they were on a specific day? I want to check if they changed the wording or if I originally misread it

Free shipping was for the silver coins only as the gold coin is an "additional extra" that isn't required unless you want to fully complete the set, the deal for that was that you has early access to it before it was released to the general public

It seems the Perth Mint is pushing this collection by sponsoring a few You Tube coin channels. This might suggest sales are less than anticipated.

Their ability to service whatever orders they have are also less than anticipated. They are having issues with the third shipment as I still have not revived it from last month. After repeated emails to them went unanswered, I received an email on the 9th of July

    "Dear xxx,

Thank you for your subscription to the James Bond Official 25-Coin Collection.

Due to unforeseen issues, there has been a delay in contacting some customers regarding their subscription orders. I am currently working through the orders and will be contacting any customers who have been affected by the 15th of July to bring their subscriptions up to date.

I humbly request that you do not reply to this email so that we can focus on setting up the orders and contacting affected customers with further information.

If you have been affected by this delay, I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter.

    Many thanks,

    Aaron Gibbs"

It is now the 18th and I have still not been contacted. Sent an email just now asking for an update (which I know they won't see until tomorrow) as I also bought the gold coin and they should all ship together. Needless to say, I am not going to bother any further with these, especially as you are paying the same price to receive them in a little plastic bag as other people are to have them in a protective box. I know that you are meant to put them in the "collectors folder" but that is a bit of a slap in the face in my opinion

Anyone else signed up to the subscription having these issues?
