Check this out, major changes coming to ebay particularly for hobbyists. _________ Managed payments restricted items policy Certain items are not allowed to be listed by sellers participating in managed payments, even though those items may be allowed on eBay. Bullion (Business sellers may list beginning 23 February 2021) Coins, notes (Business sellers may list beginning 23 February 2021) https://www.ebay.com.au/help/polici...aged-payments-restricted-items-policy?id=5009 _________ It means that they are forcing you to open a business account and that individual hobbyists can no longer sell their bullion and coins. Wow, I didn't know that until today.
I bet that will happen. lol, and they wont have it removed as its not bullion and they didnt break any ebay rules, lol I doubt its a very smart business decision to restrict sellers from selling bullion on their platform, after all less and less people use ebay these days, they likely need all the business they can get that isnt just Chinese sellers. every one will just sell on marketplace and make ebay even more redundant.
eBay actively participates in the passing of counterfeit Australian legal tender coins and fake items bearing the branding and trade names of genuine companies. But the government and Au law enforcement do nothing.
They said very clearly in an email that if you didn't sign up for it then you wouldn't be able to list anything from 1st. March. Did you list something already? I assume you did and it all went ok. They even rang me up asking me to sign up for it to which I replied saying that I already had. The thing is I did sign up as they said you had to and that if you did they would give you $50 credit on your March fees. As far as I can see on my account, nothing has changed and it all appears the same. They have attached a $50 credit to my account too so maybe I better sell something and cash in on that. There has been a lot of discussion about these ebay changes on the ebay community groups. A lot of people are being told a lot of different things so now I put that all aside and wait to see what will really happens. Not much you can do at this time. What a mess, nothing straight forward.
I just checked the link on restricted items that was in the OP. It appears as though they have removed any reference to bullion. They haven't switched registered managed payment sellers over yet. They seem to be tweaking their new policy. Here is their latest link: Managed payments restricted items policy https://www.ebay.com.au/help/polici...aged-payments-restricted-items-policy?id=5009
i accepted manage payment 3months ago, But ebay still not send me activate , so mean I’m still received payment from PayPal. Not the new system everyday ebay send money to your bank account , but my friends all working for new system already. They can save 3% PayPal fee But I just seen that can’t list coins after manage payment. But all sellers still can. Nothing changed. I’m business seller since many years ago , so if business seller can then I don’t care changes. as buyer still can use PayPal to buy from ebay( ebay told me ) .if not it’s difficult to speed out my usd from PayPal.
Yes in Australia ebay still can list coin. Before shown USA ebay can’t list coin. Didn’t see ebay com au can’t list coin. Only see ebay com Also motor vehicle didn’t see on aus ebay
^^^ All the above is for AU sellers only. In the beginning it was a restricted item, coins and bullion. It seems that has been taken off the list now. But if you click through further, it shows that individual members can only sell $1,000 worth of collectible currency unless it is graded. And if I understand it correctly that applies across all your multiple listings. Here is that that little link that I did not see too. https://www.ebay.com.au/help/polici...ed-items/stamps-currency-coins-policy?id=4337
