I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but how does a bloke in a Chewbacca bikini outwit the nation’s finest and storm the Capitol?

It’s hard to believe how the angry mob of Trump supporters managed to do what they did yesterday and the absence of police and security guards. Was this the deep state’s final humiliation of a president it hated?
I watched the astonishing breaking news from Washington yesterday like billions all over the world, our mouths agape, as the citadel of Western democracy was breached – Capitol Hill falls to the angry mob – and pondered one question.

In a country that spends about 900 billion dollars a year on security and defence, that has made its name as the (often uninvited) police officer of the world, that loves going into other countries and ‘helping’ prop up one regime over another, or get rid of another it doesn’t like, all in the name of ‘democracy’... how is it possible that a couple of thousand of badly dressed and quite frankly weird folks break into the USA’s centre of power?

With all the lockdown, this year looks like will be a repeat of last year, spring like weather Jan-Feb, non-stop raining and flooding from Jun-Sept. But good for us, means cooler weather throughout the year. :D

Superb weather, just right for human being.

Roads out of Xingtai, a city with 8 million people, close to the capital city of Hebei province, sealed. Commuters trapped on the roads making phone calls.

Just learned of a solar flare in 1859 so powerful that it will fry all electronics, computers, cellphones today. Previously, I only thought a solar flare will just give off some radiation and EMF. Didn't know it can even run electric current through disconnected devices and electrocute people!

Kinda wondering if Tesla isn't the catalyst for collapse. People ploughing their life savings into an obvious bubble. When it does collapse will shake the market more than any Dot com or Enron.

Tesla stock may crash but is here to stay. Simple reason - Elon is not evil. Facebook, Apple and Amazon have revealed their evilness. Elon can easily start any service and take huge market share from them. Being apolitical is a huge advantage. You don't even need to be the best to win.

Just 1 tweet from Elon. He can start Tesla messenger and tens of millions will migrate over in 10 days. I'll be one of them.

Seems to me too much blind faith in Tesla.

The largest vehicle company in the world by capitalization has never earned a cent from selling vehicles. Their earnings come from selling federal and state subsidies. Maybe not surprising since many cars has so much assistance they are already self driving and in day to day EVs are pretty common (if I had a dollar for every Kona EV I saw...) but Tesla's aren't especailly common (in Australian cities).

If faith in TSLA collapses then does far more damage than Trump or Biden could do.

Earning money isn’t the goal. I won’t buy any tech stock that doesn’t make money. Tesla is just the test for Elon’s real company, SpaceX.

I don't think Bitcoin's strong vertical rise to 40,000 $ is sustainable. I expect it to crash down, possibly to 20,000 $. It's a roller-coaster ride for the pyramidal scheme, anyway.
People just don't understand. It's a pyramidal madness and more and more are entering the game, but it's economically unsustainable, unless Bitcoin becomes widely used/accepted.

But, as it usually happens, gold is going to pick up where Bitcoin takes the dip. We'll probably see 3,000 $ gold in 2021-2022.

yer I understand that, he is all image and is seen as the good guy who will save the planet lol, thats really why his shares are where they are.
but an image changes quickly when supporters lose money from buying into his dream and it crashes and they lose their arse and yet see he is still living the good life.
Usually that reminds people some one is just another greedy billionaire, when they lose and he is still seen as coming out all sweet.
