I havent sold any cryptos yet just sitting tight, havent added into it either. There hasnt been any real pullbacks yet since 16k. It could retest 20k or not pullback till it hits 100k who really knows. Seems unreal to me in a way but I'll ride along for awhile. I havent seen anything even close to a sell indicator yet. I pondered buying more last night but went with some stocks instead. I want to keep every dollar invested that I can right now while the taking is good and trading is easy. Wont always be like this. Trying to jump on a galloping horse isnt worth the risk to me.
The stackers day will come I believe but between metals, a few shares to trade and cryptos I feel plenty diversified. I'm still around 95 percent metals and 5 percent other. I'm not that brave and it's enough risk for me in this environment. I have a feeling that when the rush for the exit comes most will just get trampled. Hopefully I can cash out in time and spend the rest of the day petting my shiny coins haha. I will rub the lotion on its skin.
I'm selling a few satoshis every few days. My bitcoin balance is stiil rising at a rapid rate. I'm buying less risky investments and other useless fun shit. Bought some metals on Monday or Tues which looks pretty stupid with hindsight.
I agree, learnt my lesson from 2018 when the Crypto market was booming and I held thinking it would just keep going up and up. It obviously doesnt work that way. So this time around I'm making sure to take some profits while still maintaiing a healthy Crypto holding.
Out of interest how do you buy shares? I have a Crypto / Metals holding at the moment and was considering shares also but not really sure the best way to go about it.
there are plenty of fancy stock market aps you can get where you can trade shares easily, just google which ones are best for your country, I know of plenty aus ones like comsec and so on but unsure which would be best for the uk. as stoic mentions crypto exchanges have similar setups, as they sort of emulated stock market aps, it wont be to hard for you to figure out as most things are similar, the terminology of things will be the most confusing thing at first. you can get basic ones Like raiz if your just wanting to plonk some money in and walk away, and not care what stocks your buying. its a micro investing ap. if your after specific stocks and trade day to day then you want a trading ap.
I don't hold to that theory as I would argue that it's not the same as 2018 so it's difficult to make comparisons between the 3 crypto bull markets we've seen. Take profits by all means if that is a part of your investment plan. The downside is the loss of even greater potential profit from selling too early.
I've been using Webull for awhile now, started with Robin Hood before that. I can buy and sell over my phone app and really easy.
I'm taking small profits but this time is definitely different, most people are expecting a crash, which is why it might not happen like 2013x2 /2017 Morgan Stanley disclosed they indirectly own US $300M bitcoin. I'm expecting a fair bit more bullish news like that. Bitcoin hasn't really hit the MSM yet although maybe not easy for the same journos to explain to their audience its double the tulip bubble price 4 years on.
I would also add that back then people had only just heard of btc and didn’t know what it is. But hey - new paradigm!!
Google trends just confirms other fundamentals like empty mempool* ie. 2017 was retail with $1000 and 2021 is institutions with $1m Not sure if that's good or bad for bitcoin in the long term, but in the short term $100k per BTC has become one of the more conservative forecasts. *also growth in addresses with 1000BTC or more is rapidly growing according to Glassnode's on chain data
For anyone interested and willing to pay to subscribe santiment collates this sort of data. Useful if you’re a trader.
Yep, this is significant I think. Both are indicators we are still far from the mania stage of this run. I might start making a list of indicators like these to keep an eye on
I rearranged my cryptos today and pulled my original investment off the table so at least I have that back now. Sold about 2/3 and left the original amount in there for another ride if there is one. It was time to sell a little haha.
