Any valcambi owners here that bought the gold/silver gram bars as a whole and ended up breaking it? If so, what situations have warranted you to do so? Any input is much appreciated. Thanks
Years gone, Bullion List use to give, a free 1 gram silver bar on some orders; I thought that was a nice touch. Their website: https://www.bullionlist.com.au/
I broke one of mine up because I just had to, the urge was too great not to satisfy. I do not recommend it unless necessary as they pack much easier when together as a single card. Thankfully I have since sold the one I broke up and found replacements. Pretty difficult to get a hold of down under, the the average dealer rate seems to be spot + $200-300 for the bar. Great rate for fractional.
The buyer was looking for 1-5g fractional, so was happy to take it as is. I did include the assay card but it's pretty useless at that point.
I bought a sheet of the 1g silver bars just to look at and I bought a couple of 1g gold bars that were joined just so I could get the satisfaction of splitting them up. It was not as exciting as I thought it would be. I still have them all. I bought the sheet of 1g silver to remind me of the madness at the time when people thought that silver would go to the moon and no one would be able to afford larger bars or 1oz coins so the 1g bars were going to save the day for small time investors and for buying groceries when fiat collapsed. They were much simpler times back then.
^ well their blurbs not accurate as at listed price its not $200 above spot "as advertised", its closer to double that

I got the 50g volcambi CombiBar a couple years ago, was $2200 then. I've never unpackaged or broken any grams off but I've seen the grams for sale a couple times at places
