https://www.capacitymedia.com/articles/3826249/south-korea-to-launch-6g-trial-in-2026 The government of South Korea has confirmed plans to carry out a 6G pilot in 2026. According to Business Korea, the government anticipates that commercial 6G could be commercially available as soon as 2028 – 2030. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/09/21/att-executive-says-engineers-are-already-working-on-6g-wireless.html AT&T Communications CEO Jeff McElfresh says 5G adoption may be muted by the recent pandemic job losses and higher costs of unlimited 5G data. ‘I’ve always tried to soften folks’ expectations around 5G,′ McElresh said. McElfresh defended DirecTV acquisition because the cash flows from the deal helped AT&T invest in fiber.
6G? they haven’t even finished the final spec for 5G. Sounds like BS. maybe 6G will consist of plugging a cable into your phone. That or putting micro towers every 10 meters.
5G is the equivalent of the old 3G technology. Just as 3G was too slow to surf even basic websites, making it effectively useless, 5G is not fast enough nor is it cheap enough to replace wired LAN fibre, while at the same time it will be an overkill for regular web surfing and data calls. 3G was quickly replace by 3.5G which was just quick enough for simple net surfing.
Maybe with 6g it will create a virus that is actually deadly to any one under the age of 70 and who doesnt have a terminal illness lol That 5g virus was a bit underwhelming ahaha
there are two problems, there is no factory to make them and there is no market to sell them, India does not want to afford it
Hardware is going to be almost free in the future. Companies will only be selling apps and services. http://m.timesofindia.com/business/india-business/a-50-phone-is-mukesh-ambanis-weapon-to-dominate-indias-telecom-market/amp_articleshow/78262002.cms
By the time 7 G come out , your devices is outta date. Please do upgraded your devices. There are things that call Satellites
Sounds like an actual pandemic. Can you imagine govt reaction to a pandemic that actually did have a high mortality rate? I hate to try and imagine.
Depends what market. Yes developing countries will get crappy outdated hardware for free or next to free in order to collect data from them. But for the latest and greatest, hardware is getting increasingly more expensive to produce, while software is getting cheaper. The good old days of hardware getting cheaper and better is over.
