    Hi Guys,

Just a quick request if anyone knows of anyone in Perth who can turn approx 5 grams of gold granules (24k) that I have into a bar for me?

Also willing to send interstate if somebody like sonypony or another well established member is interested in melting it down.

    Thanks.

I believe there is a guy in Belmont doing them. Look under crucible.
Have been there once , not really knowing the guy.
He supplied crucible for the mines. Crucible made from platinum. I think.
    Other than that buy one

May be I can melt one for you. Temp of 1,064 °C melting point.
You definitely need a crucible made into a blob. :D:D:D

Thanks for that, I'm actually thinking of taking it to a jeweler friend of mine that I've known for 20 odd years and having it diluted down to 18 or 14ct (I have Silver granules as well, just not the copper) and getting a couple of rings made for the Girlfriend and I

18ct gold is 18 parts pure gold or 75% pure, hence the stamp 750 found inside pieces made from this alloy. This is the main metal used at Metal Urges Fine Jewellery & Diamonds, it is strong, beautiful, durable and does not tarnish, corrode or react with its owners skin. This is an ideal metal alloy for making pieces such as engagement and wedding rings that need to last at least a lifetime!

https://www.metalurges.com.au/gold-...9ct gold is 9 parts, pieces made of this alloy.

I don't believe I ever mentioned that they would be wedding rings and I am aware of how much gold I have and the difference between the gold types. I'm looking at possibly 2 pinky rings and if I don't end up having enough, then it's just going to be a ring for me

Id go with Door #2,you get a reasonable mans ring, get to buy her a Diamond ring (Yeah she wants one to show her Girlfriends) and if things go south and you get chased out the door with a butchers knife, your carrying disposable cash for a hotel, bottle of Red and a good restaurant meal.

You've obviously never met my Girlfriend, she's not into that kind of stuff which is why I've kept her around for 11 years :D No interest in marriage or bling bling, she's quite happy with one or two overseas holidays a year (moot point at the moment thanks to Covid) and the occasional night out for dinner.
