Very nice, wonder why sort of premium they are going to demand

What is people's general consensus on serialisation? I find it highly unnecessary and can't see any tangible benefit

It's an effort to make them collectable

The bars will probably gather some premium in thirty years time when they become a collectable vintage bar!
If the price is the same as a regular one, there's no harm getting these instead, however I wouldn't be paying a premium just to own one.

The release date is today, so they probably haven't listed on their website as yet.

I am concerned about the ability to track serial numbers to individual invoices and thus individuals (i.e extended paper trail)

Just spoke to my dealer about this bar!
There will be an extra $20 premium above the bog standard cast bar

$20 extra premium? should be $50 less premium for butchering a nice looking cast bar like that
Pass on these tragic pieces. The numbering looks like a smack head did it while on the nod

Perth are selling these for the same price as the standard 1oz cast by phone.

Price from Perth this morning (by phone) was about $2707 + $17.50 delivery

Current price on the web site is $2709

Doesn't seem to have a premium at this stage.

I thought there was a chance to get a low number but the lady there said they are all high numbers at Perth Mint.
