If those bars were rare Engelhard or even the Perth Mint ones with the older swan logos, would you still defaced it? A time wasting exercise that destroys the premiums of these bars!
Perhaps, if you have 40years to wait. I have a low number PM 10g certi card no roos reverse only produced for short time but no premium. I purchased new with the same idea Sadly the card has separated and collapsed, original lustre long since gone. Unusual piece, unlikely to find a premium price.

could is the truth. certicard v bars I agree Apples and oranges I know however the premise is the same. Check out premiums on early carded bars, will find them to be higher than new minted products. People collect all things.... empty tobacco tins and match boxes included <shrug>
