I know there are delays at the moment, but is anyone finding parcel post taking a crazy amount if time? I sent off some items last Thursday, and tracking is still showing us as being at the facility a few suburbs away. One of them was express (sent same time as a regular parcel) and they are showing the same tracking info.
Very mixed at the moment, I had 2 items meant to arrive to me last Wednesday and they didn't arrive til Sunday (Auspost) - but I've also shipped to WA recently and they've received it 2 days later.
Something I sent a few weeks ago took 7 days to move 32km (30+ minutes) from the post office to Perth airport and on the flip side, I have received items sent from interstate within 2 days
could be or im unlucky, but things ive sent and things ive bought and had express posted have seem to have taken around 4-5 days, regular post has been around 7 days on average ive been finding. I stopped offering an express option on my ebay, as I dont want negative feedback from people taking it out on me, people get very angry at sellers for Aus posts delays and poor service. where pre covid express was virtually over night and regular post 4 days.
I sent out a express post on Monday from country Victoria to Western Australia and they say it will be delivered today so fingers crossed. Me being in a very small country town in sw Vic I usually add 2 days to ecpected delivery times now due CV19.
My express post is going from Sydney to less than 400km away before Port Macquarie and is going on 1 week now.
with reduced flight frequency. items are waiting for plane to pick up. it's a cat world class delivery. sleeping on it.
recently sent an item express. i live 300kms from brisbane and the parcel was going to brisbane. it arrived after 2weeks. it went via Melb. i think they sent it to melb to claim covid delays.
