    Hi all
I have a few friends that will probably order around 60-100 oz from Perth mint soonish. If there is anyone else who wants to go in then we can all get a better price break: Here are the price breaks for the weekend closed market:
1 or more AUD 42.44 each
25 or more AUD 42.14 each
100 or more AUD 41.84 each
250 or more AUD 41.54 each

Looks like these are selling on Ebay for about $55 atm. Even if we can just get in at the 100+ price bracket that would be great. So- funds would be sent to me- then we order (I have an account with Perth Mint) - post to me then I post yours to you. Shipping is AUD 17.50 per kg of packed weight or part thereof- From Perth Mint to me. Then postage to you at your expense.

We can also get the 1 oz Perth Mint silver bars-
1 or more AUD 41.39 each
20 or more AUD 40.69 each
200 or more AUD 40.14 each
I think I would prefer to order these.

I think Perth mint charges 35 for First kilo, and 17.5 per kilo after that.

I am happy to help out as well if you guys like.
Any purchase over 5000 you will be registered that you are buying from the mint. Buy under 5000 and pay cash is the way to go. You don't even have to have your name 9n the invoice.

    I don't like that,
buying more than 120 triggers it

the 1oz minted bars already out of stock, The regular 1oz kanga rounds theres only 1 left for singles. and for tubes of 25 , there is still stock but max order 250. U can try but I reckon likely monday morning they will be wiped out pretty quick as well.

Can only speak from my experience. If the value of whatever you are buying is over 5000 then it changes. Cheers

i dont understand the fear of $5000 limit. I buy plenty of stuff from PM and my orders are often more than $5k. Just bought 2x 2020 gold swans off PM and that's more than $5k so what?

You will need to register identity with them buying bullion anyways(photo id driver licence check via post office) no matter the amount. unless you are doing something dodgy with the bullion I dont know why you would be afraid the gov knows.

And even in store, if you buy from them, theres security cameras there all day recording your face and the gov probably has facial recog software able to identify you already, especially if you took that cash out from your bank or ATM machine.

    I just am kanga
I however don't know what could be considered "dodgy" but the government is prone to interpreting that to suit their own needs

well the only other reason some people are afraid is of gold confiscation by the gov. However the devil is in the details.
    1) australia never had gold confiscation, only a 50% tax on gold transactions in 1939 and proceeds of that tax used to fund war efforts against HITLER
    2) Part IV of the banking act which is dormant but states that
“Subject to this Part, a person who has any gold in the person’s possession or under the person’s control… shall deliver the gold to the Reserve Bank… within one month after the gold comes into the person’s possession or under the person’s control, or if the gold is in the person’s possession or under the person’s control on any date on which this Part comes into operation, within one month after that date.”

For starters i dont think we wil be in the war scenario again which gives the government an excuse to tax bullion.

The Part IV of the banking act from 1959 will likely not come into effect given that most of the controlling affluent people up there, will have lots of holdings of gold which i am sure they will not want to risk returning to the country so they will either repeal or leave it dormant as it is now. Just like how the gov props up the property bubble for so many years, they simply cannot afford the chaos should it fall apart.

Futhermore, if you are a SILVER STACKER, the act does not say silver, or any other precious metals only GOLD. so there is no risk as well..
