So I took the plunge into the world of hand poured silver. It’s been roughly 3 weeks now and absolutely loving it!
If you love hand poured silver or just keen to know a little more about it head on over to Firebird bullion on YouTube
    I’ve just started the channel.
    https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCv1Q8tdXyGtXwZe9FtzUXHw/videos
It’s a fun hobby and I’ve got a custom stamp being made up so in a few weeks I’ll be able to personalise my bars :)
    Loving it!!
    Thanks for looking :)

Your first pour looks like an antique bath-tub. :D
    (That's a good thing) :);)

    :( I know
Wish I kept it now but the beauty and the lure of hand poured silver made me do it to see what else I could create :)

So glad you started this thread :) Was going to suggest it myself. I'm loving it!

Just a question, a little personal.

How much does all the equipment cost to start pouring? I'd definitely be interested in doing it later in life (I mean I'm a kid right now)

    Cheers, Lucky, love the channel.

A 5oz FIREBIRD BULLION Bar with swirls and stamped with purity and the words SILVER.

Numbered for a series, for example, say you do a run of 5oz bars, you might do a limited run of 20.
If you can get the swirls into a pattern like a Swan, that would be great or some sort of FIREBIRD design that you
can repeat but with a little variation in the pattern.

For design ideas, google - "swan logo free"

    Challenging? :D ;)

    I’m up for a challenge
I can easily do a 5oz swirly FIREBIRD BULLION bar once my stamp arrives. Probably a few weeks.
As for making the swirls into bird shapes ill have to do some research and experimenting. At this stage the swirls happen organically when cooling or when tapping the side of the mould with the crucible and you never know what your going to get which for me is all apart of the suspense and excitement ha ha
