They definitely did. They have 1/2oz silver sharks in stock, and they were only minted in 2014. Hefty premium on those as you can imagine!

He is talking about Perth Mint Bullion website which is currently showing "Product Not Available". Even if it was you need to factor in hefty postage and insurance charges which will bring to around that $900 mark anyway.

10% premium is still cheaper than what you can find in the entire world.

Stock is back at Perth Mint.
1oz and 5oz gold bars are back in stock for the allocated program, and a squillion 1kg silver bars in stock as well.

$35/Kg is what the mint charges. You have to be a member to order from them as well, but its not hard. you just fill in some forms and send them through. takes about a week or so

EDIT: My bad, its $17.50/Kg as per http://www.perthmintbullion.com/au/Delivery-Options.aspx

Can you just walk in and pay cash for one or two bars or do you need to sign something etc?
Their 1kg bars around $880 at the moment.

I've heard that when you go to buy a 1KG Silver cast bar, shipping comes to be greater than 17.50$ for some reason?
Can anybody who has bought from PM confirm this?

Can confirm as the package weight is more than 1Kg.

Packaging is around 200g so the most cost effective way to buy from the mint is in 4 or 5 kilo lots.

4 Kg should definitely not go over 1 Kg additional, 5 Kg might but I personally have not ordered that many kilos from the mint in one go
