That sounds ominous. I'm a little concerned about this phrase: Haven't we worked out already that communism is a failed system?
Yea, don't like it that much. All too convenient timing as well. The comments on the first YouTube video are telling. It takes a special skill set to make the Great Reset agenda sound so completely benign. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/06/now-is-the-time-for-a-great-reset/ "The Great Reset agenda would have three main components. The first would steer the market toward fairer outcomes. To this end, governments should improve coordination (for example, in tax, regulatory, and fiscal policy), upgrade trade arrangements, and create the conditions for a “stakeholder economy.” At a time of diminishing tax bases and soaring public debt, governments have a powerful incentive to pursue such action. Moreover, governments should implement long-overdue reforms that promote more equitable outcomes. Depending on the country, these may include changes to wealth taxes, the withdrawal of fossil-fuel subsidies, and new rules governing intellectual property, trade, and competition. The second component of a Great Reset agenda would ensure that investments advance shared goals, such as equality and sustainability. Here, the large-scale spending programs that many governments are implementing represent a major opportunity for progress. The European Commission, for one, has unveiled plans for a €750 billion ($826 billion) recovery fund. The US, China, and Japan also have ambitious economic-stimulus plans. Rather than using these funds, as well as investments from private entities and pension funds, to fill cracks in the old system, we should use them to create a new one that is more resilient, equitable, and sustainable in the long run. This means, for example, building “green” urban infrastructure and creating incentives for industries to improve their track record on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. The third and final priority of a Great Reset agenda is to harness the innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to support the public good, especially by addressing health and social challenges. During the COVID-19 crisis, companies, universities, and others have joined forces to develop diagnostics, therapeutics, and possible vaccines; establish testing centers; create mechanisms for tracing infections; and deliver telemedicine. Imagine what could be possible if similar concerted efforts were made in every sector."
^ There's a social agenda behind many of the most vocal advocates of MMT, and this sounds like the script out of their play book.
This is the definition of communism. "absence of social classes, money" Does this even exist today? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communism This is the definition of fascism. Notice the keywords "authoritarian", "ultranationalism", "dictatorial power", "forcible suppression of opposition" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism
A true reset will involve fixing some of the main problems including: the fake legal system, fake political system, fake news, fake history and fake money.
@sgbuyer, you didn’t highlight the common ownership of stuff bit. AKA, “the commons”. It’s the absence of property rights that makes communism a threat to humanity. Now that’s not saying fascism is a bed of roses, it’s just that communism is the extreme version.
I notice they like to throw in the words equality and fairness for the lowest IQ and illiterate to grasp onto. Once they see those words they will support it undoubtedly thinking it's written just for them.
I was surprised last week at how many people are living at hotels now. The lucky homeless have enough to barely rent a room and scraping by with their pets. I heard a few sad stories from people about how they never thought this would happen and its apparent they had no savings at all. Some of them have never been able to file for benefits or bailouts and cant get the system to work. They wonder why theres no help and when I tell them theres no help coming they look like a deer in the headlights, it's only going to get much much worse for them before its over. I wanted to say "I hear your sad story and I've lived it so now you know what you need to do. First thing is pull your head out your ass and pay attention." I really dont feel sorry for anyone that chooses to live with the blinders on.
having travelled much of the world it always fascinated me how the state of the homeless changes from city to city. Melbourne homeless look like they’re having the biggest party of all. Basically living in mattress castles on the street with a lot of healthy looking pets. Getting blasted on free drugs all day until they burn out. Compare that with Auckland just next door and the people on the street often look mere inches away from death.
