I came down with a light cold last week so put myself into self iso straight away, just playing it safe and quite frankly I dont want to be around head office with all this going on. Its very productive for me working at home.

Our entire company has moved to a work from home model as of today, 75% already was as of Monday last week. Better to be safe than sorry was the decision we made as we are all tech workers, its a trivial adjustment for us.

Were still packing away as much food as we can every week, filling every corner and every space possible for the uncertain future.
We usually had 3 mos worth but I wanted alot more than that.
I scrapped the tops knives idea and went with a Becker bk9 and a 16, and an esee laser strike on the way. Also a few mora companions are always handy for small stuff and cheap. All good knives for camp chores or hunting.
The drillers should be here any day to drill our well. Seems to be taking forever.
I'm mostly done buying metals right now, trying to tie up loose ends and fill other gaps where needed.

Spanner, congrats on getting your Moonwalker's watch.

For those not familiar with the Omega Speedmaster Professional, it was NASA's first choice for astronaut wristwatches during the Apollo program.

Rather than submitting tenders for a bespoke chronometer, NASA actually bought the watches COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) and the Omega Speedmaster Pro was the one that survived all the pressure/vacuum/shock tests while maintaining an acceptable level of accuracy.

The first US Astronaut to perform an EVA ('spacewalk'), Ed White wore one during his Gemini 8 EVA.
All 12 Apollo moon-walkers were issued one.

Cmdr Jim Lovell (Apollo 13) used his to time a critical re-entry angle correction burn.

As you can imagine, Omega has made dozens of commemoratives capitalizing on this fame.

The one spanner finally got his hands on? Looks like a 1968-69 era vintage original.

I picked up an electric chain sharpener for my saw chains. It was only $30.
How the hell I've been cutting wood for 20 years without one I'll never know! So easy!!

We finally got our well drilled and they finished yesterday. Weve been waiting all summer it seems.

We have a nice mess to clean up with the drill tailings but it's all worth it and we officially have a water source now.
We picked a great place to drill so I couldnt be happier.
The water is only 20 feet down in the pipe going down 220 ft total and produces 240 gallons an hour.

I need get a 12v pump and some panels and get things hooked up. I want a hand pump for back up.

I guess I can say that I'm glad my hole wasnt dry. I wish I could say it a different way haha.
