Ok thats in a different league to mine.. most were under $200 .. yours is worth considerably more than these.. a very nice watch indeed - does it keep good time?
Thanks. It varies, for some months it's fast, then it's slow for a couple of months and slowly catches up to keep perfect time.
Here is a picture of my Maurice Lacroix 18ct Rose Gold with Crocodile Leather and Skeleton back. A classic watch that does not see enough daylight

Big chunky 70's style that one Boston lol Dad gave me his old Rado in the 70's, it was also a big chunky one - I lost it though.
Actually, it was the only watch I could find at the time that was unconditionally guaranteed from the factory in writing, against intentional/unintentional damage. However, it was not guaranteed against theft or fire. This was in the owners manual. As an aside, I had broken it several times.
I know the problem, when the hour hand gets to the bottom of the face, about 4 o'clock to 7 o'clock, the little second hand that spins at the bottom gets caught in the hour hand. When the watch fell the crystal fell off and one of the two hands (either the hour or the sec) must be a little bent and they catch and the watch stops. So it's not a mechanical problem thank gawd, will take it to the jeweller and he can sort it. Everyone can return to normal now. Catastrophe averted. As you were.
^ $450 repair bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm informed because it's an Omega Automatic, expensive to work on. Dismantle, repair, clean and service.
