Can you give everyone his name, address and handle? If there are no blacklists yet, this would be a good time to start one.

I would also share all that information on the facebook trade groups so no one else falls to this scam.

Of course he did... he wouldn't be raising a case of 'not as described' and close the original case..
He's a scammer, he knows the system works... has done this many times perhaps, and many accounts for sure

How can you as a seller contact ebay in a case opened against you by the buyer? I cannot see anything where I can respond or add anything to defend myself.

Well PayPal finally made a decision... they ruled in the buyers side!!! So eBay took less than 24 hours to rule in my favour, then PayPal takes much longer to screw me over. To make matters worse they charged our credit card the negative balance from our PayPal account so our credit card went overdrawn and bills that were due to be paid that same day bounced..

you need to call PayPal too and explai nto him that he's a con artist and you have strong support documents and testimonies on his scam... and also tell PayPal that you will take further legal action if PayPal is not re-investigate your case further... as well as Consumer Affairs as PayPal is acting onbehalf of conman.

I did up a police style report with known facts, proofs and a evidence showing his pasts scam transaction and they still sided with him. I’m financially stuffed atm as my billing account is maxed out. So bloody frustrating

Hi evil ss. This is very unfortunate that this happened. Im a seller aswell and almost got scammed by a guy from korea. Just wondering if paypal asked the buyer to return the coin to you if so have you received an empty parcel? You can appeal the case and provide more information or photo like you recieved an empty parcel. Its possible to overturn the desicion

    yes, its possible
in EU, they use bank transfer, but there is no protection
    but it cost way less

I never have issue with dishonest seller, so long they get their money and care about their trade, they care about their buyers
the shipping took over in eBay, forced me to stop buying form many places, hence they are other ways
good seller reputations means nothing, they are not even aware that packages got cut open and stolen..they can never believe such a thing until, so many posted their stories on FaceBook etc
insurance is just scheme, no when it hit you, suddenly your story does not hold water, you are not covered. it was just a marketing sales talk promotions etc

In my case of course they are on the buyers side too. Ebay asked buyer to return the item to me.I called ebay and surprisingly the lady was very helpful. I mentioned what if I receive an empty envelope or something else in the parcel.I was told just call them again and discuss. I might just take a video right there at the PO when picking up and opening the package. The lady also said they might re-investigate the whole issue as per my call and explanation.

I think it is time for me to stop selling on ebay.

dont quit selling, just be a bit more vigilant now. I Take photos of everything I sell. Document everything, from post office to custom reciepts even the weight of the item. When selling big items I only accept bank transfer instead of paypal specialy overseas buyers. I made a note in my listings that I may require different payment method so they cant pull this crap.It will be harder for them to validate that their payment has been made or you can just say you did not recieved payment. Make sure to exclude sales from countries with high risk area, bad postal services and terrible customs law. You can find all info at ebay australia forums.

That's absolutely sickening. Sorry to hear the decision came of like this.
I would be intrigued to see what PayPal do if you mention legal proceeding against them as they are acting on behalf of him.
