Just curious. What was the idea behind such a non traditional image of the Tiger?.

Maybe they are sponsors of the medal?) ) Is it some sort of street band?
And Ithink that it is a fur of the Last Korean Tiger killed by Japanese in invaders

The Toronto Raptors NBA team. Their logo is a basketball with claws ripping through it: just do a search and you will see what I mean. This coin has a similar style, but is using the tiger as the background.

That said, I have the first tiger coin, and I like this so will grab it when I see it locally. I would have picked up the 2018 10oz but it is way over priced.

    Thank you for the explanation
As we say Live hundred years and still learn new facts.
This year they plan to release medals in tubes, not in capsules.
Think milk spots killed the idea of proof like Tiger series. I liked the look of 2018 much better(

Yeah, I preferred the 2018 as well, but I still like this one too.

Interesting that they are going only with tubes.

That helps them to cut shipment cost I think.
And that 2018 capsules were rather big for Tigers in my opinion

That's true. Hopefully they won't water this series down too much with too many variants: they should spend the time on coming up with new coins and new designs.

    You are definitely right.
As for me I liked the idea of 2 versions of 1 oz and 10 oz Tigers. Wish they continue this trend in 2019

I think that is the right approach. They just need to be careful on pricing. I mentioned earlier that the pricing on the 10oz from last year was on the high side, which is why I didn't pick one up.

Hopefully they are listening and learning.

Wish the same. The mint is good.
But I think it tries co copycat the Perth Mint with variety of Lunar sizes and tyoes (1/2 oz, 2 oz, 2 oz proof, 2 oz reverse proof, guided versions and other stuff that). Maybe it works with Perth Mint (although do not think works too good even to them).
I've got a tiger at a more reasonable price. And it was just a lucky day)
Think I will leave it in my collection.
It is a really nice one.

What are the 2019 Tigers worth to trade? I have one, not sure if i should buy more for around $40 each.
