I got info from Mint of Gdansk that the second issue of the Great Commanders series will be Leonidas (famous from the Battle of Thermopylae) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae. The first coin of the series was Spartacus. http://agaunews.com/wmf18-great-commanders-uhr-mint-poland-launches-impressive-new-series-spartacus/ http://agaunews.com/im-brian-and-so-is-my-wife/
They better drop the mintage down to 500 and add a little gold gilding, and they'll have a winner, otherwise, at 999 and red blood...well, it's a no go. Lol. I mean, look at the Chariot. You'd think that would be a winner with 500 minted and nice gold guild on the coin, and yet that piece is sucking wind!! I think the stuff from the MoP has hit a wall. It's time to reset the prices of these 2 oz pieces back down to their original target - $220.00 (or lower).
Yes, I too think that their venicle would be broken soon. But...on the other sideeven in my country some collect them.. Even in bulk... There are many people in this mad world you can allow wine for 10K usd a bottle and coins of 300-500 usd in like nice toys to them.....
Funny. Look at Bellona - the price is 220 everywhere, and I don't see it sold out. (I like this coin and already purchased) You are fooling yourself. People always want as low as possible, for bullion price, despite of great artwork of these coins.
