Bird of Paradise 2019 and Double Dragon still available at Perth Mint, Swans are gone it seems.

Pics taken just now. Seems they're "rationing" the quantity they make available / day on these.

Yeah, the dragons and birds will take a long time to sell out. 50,000 mintage is no small number these days. ;) And the sale of swans has slowed considerable at APMEX! And LPM will have them for sale soon too, which I assume will take awhile to sell. This isn’t 2010 folks. Have we seen the price of spot lately? They are trying to destroy any vestige of hope left in this market...just take a look at the forums all over...they’re a Skelton of what they used to be...whoa.

The double dragons also had the “This product is currently not available for your region....” message yesterday, but now they’re back in stock. So I wonder if there’s a chance the Swans will also come back in stock?!

Only 5000 ( 10 % of total mintage) of the double dragons will be sold in Australia.

The rest will be sold overseas and with gst and postage cost getting them back here will only mean there more expensive. So better off getting some now at local Aussie dealers in my opinion.

Are the Birds of Paradise and Swans available at any Australian distributors? Cannot seem to find them easily. I looked at registering with Perth Mint for an account but the id verification process seems tedious

Swan has lost a bit of lustre for me. Not the coins, i should stress. Beautiful coins.
Apmex have ditched their 2017 clear intention of a 3 year series. Now saying 5, with option open to continue well beyond.
Not a problem ordinarily. Any intention to extend an attractive bullion series is welcome. But they will also intend to continue the high levels of premium within days/hours of launch. Each and every year. Until the year when buyer sentiment begins to grow tired of that.
That alone will decide for Apmex how long to keep the series going. One of the drawbacks to a commissioned series. At least if it was up to Perth, they would have stuck to the announced planned run of 3 years.

Next Gen 2oz Piedfort 2019 (mintage 75'000) coming up shortly - crocs. Updated obverse seems, should I say, rather elaborate...

Dang, really Sully? I thought it was only 3 too...yeah, at some point I think they’ll get tired, but maybe not? It will all come down to price from the outset. If they come out and think they’ll be massive buying at 45.00 (if silver stays at 15)...people will tire very quickly and it will fizzle. I’m sure that same concept will apply to the birds of paradise too...it was supposed to be 3...now I’m sure they’ll change those too. Nuts!!

Most of the 2019 and 2020 designs are described in the Currency (Perth Mint) Determination (No. 1) 2019.
The 2019 Emu with be "a representation of 2 emus on a landscape featuring foliage, grass, trees and rocks".
