I haven't purchased any silver coins for a few years and I've just discovered how average the dealers in Melbourne have become in that time. I used to drop in at Goldstackers from time-to-time and pick up a 1 oz coin, but their range is hopeless now. I also used to ship from a Queensland company - I think it was called Bullion Deposit - which had a great range of coins. That site has closed, unfortunately. What do Melburnians do?
To me silver is silver so I just buy from Goldstackers. If i want unusual coins I just buy them here.
Skyrocket, they don't even have current kooks at Goldstackers. Their range has become really average. I was hoping to pick up a 2018 and 2019 kook ..nothing. They have really expensive kooks at Australian Bullion Company. I could probably get cheaper per coin ordering several from Ainslie. Maybe I'll just buy from here if something comes up. Cheers.
This forum is always the best place to buy from If you want great variety from a dealer then Perth Bullion is the dealer to use - postage costs are very reasonable too. That's where I get anything I can't get on this forum I agree re Gold Stackers - they're basically just good for generic stuff really, although their buybacks are great too but again it's mostly populated generic stuff. Excellent staff there, but their coin variety is very boring and has barely changed in years so not the best place for coin enthusiasts
We have a delivery of 2019 Kookaburras and Koalas arriving next week if that is of any help. Give us a call (1300 334 653) or drop in to see us - Level 6 605/227 Collins Street, Melbourne. Bullion Now
If you want some older Kooks I have some kicking around in square capsules. $33 each F2F CBD (No Post)
Oh how I wish I had a good answer for that question!!! I'm getting there. The thing you find with opening a shop is everything should have been done yesterday but can't be because you're waiting for something else to happen first. I'm sorry. It will happen soon.
Id love to be able to buy from Melbourne, currently have to buy from Perth Bullion Company and just ship every 2 months but there gold has gone up to 70 over spot that 20 extra makes them expensive with shipping
