Clouding over here. Photo quality will be dull. Will try earlier tomorrow. Bar is nice silver colour. No toning. No big dings. Scuffles and minor bumps as would be found on any older bar like this one. If keen, buzz. Money fully refunded plus $10.00 if not happy. Refund plus $10.00 will be provided upon return of goods as sent. Over 500 trades with no negatives. One way or another I am here to make it good for you.
no but that sold instantly this has had no interest for days -- might indicate that the price your asking is a tad high and my offer is fair I feel in light of the prices 1kg bars are selling for here and at dealers locally
Agree completely, and if you don’t agree with price or want to make an offer how about doing so respectfully in a private message, it is quite disrespectful to refer to a totally different bar and a completely different circumstance for sale.
What a shame! I had my eye on this one. Was just waiting for pay to clear before I buzzed at the original price, I thought that was a steal!
but it wasnt a good deal I can walk into a bullion dealer locally and buy a 1kg bar for less than he was asking -- why would I take teh inherent risk of dealing with a person over the internet with no recourse and pay more to do it vs buying at a long established dealer down the road for that risk to be worth it it must be cheaper hence the reason I offered what I did. he didnt have to spit the dummy and take his bat and ball and go home -- could have just said no thanks.
And so can I! I live less than 20 minutes from a well known bullion dealer, and I could easily pick up a kilo bar from them at a lower price, you’re completely right. However, I was chasing that specific type of bar for my personal collection. My stack is primarily as low a premium as possible with my allocated PM budget every month. However, when I pick up extra shifts at work, those funds can be spent on more higher premium bars and coins, and things that aren’t as common anymore. It’s my reward for putting in the extra work, and still maintaining fiscal responsibility on the usual budget. There’s a couple of stackers on here who also like the older silver bars, so when these pop up it’s almost like a moth to the flame for them. Anyway, that’s just how I do things. To each their own at the end of the day. If it’s a bit high premium for you and out of your range, then no problem. That bullion dealer down the road will happily take your cash for a cheaper 1kg bar that suits you better. But if you aren’t willing to meet the sellers price or terms, please don’t spoil it for stackers like me who would’ve happily paid up for it.
What a ridiculous response CJ If you can walk into a local dealer and get one cheaper, then why don't you just go and do that? Why should any buyer give two shits about what you deem inherent risk and what price you need to make it worth your while? If you don't like the price, then move along. If you want to make an offer, do so privately and don't have a cry when it doesn't go your way And all this is over 10 lousy bucks.....
but thats the thing its just a dirty olf abc bullion bar its not rare or collectible you have a good chance of probably getting one from your local dealer just ask them if they have one in the pile for sale its a low premium bar and ill treat it as such when i make an offer, and again there must be some consideration to teh price for teh inherent risks of dealing with a private sale posted over the internet vs just buying for a local reputable dealer at a lower price
I’ll just make a couple quick points... * whilst I haven’t dealt with the OP personally, his trader history looks excellent, so I wouldn’t be concerned about a risk in that regard. From potential lost postage? Sure, but that’s a risk for the buyer. It’s not meant to be a risk that the seller should be lumped with, by way of lowering their asking price to placate your fears of something going wrong due to an issue with a third party. That risk is eliminated if you just go to that bullion dealer down the road like you and I both said... * one mans trash is another’s treasure. It may be a dirty old ABC bar to you, but I quite like them! I’ve been looking for a while but haven’t been able to grab one, either through being too late to buzz when they pop up or having commitments to other sellers on this forum I’m currently engaging with. There might even be one of these for sale at your local bullion shop like you said Anyway, that’s just an opinion. I’m not interested in getting into a slanging match with you, I have better things to do. Like go to work and get that extra cash so I can buzz on items without having to freak out over $10
Let's keep this simple. Long standing policy on Silver Stackers is to not comment on a sales thread if you're not interested in transacting. Clicking to another page is free.
