Well this sucks, didn't know that ebay don't refund on non-delivery. I was able to request for refund through PayPal for an electronic item (less than 100 bucks) purchased using ebay last year by lodging a dispute.
a few times, they confirmed we are not covered by eBay, PayPal also pushed away...not covered we are talking about junks here...
SB SG was selling 1kg 2015 kooks for equivalent of aud745. All 10 pcs snapped up within hours while I pondered over it - haven’t bought any kooks before. Maybe I should have just ordered 1 piece?
I picked up some 2018 and 2019 kookaburras at Ainslie in Brisbane today and they charged me $27 each. Edit: they also charged me $27 each for Maples, Austrian Philharmonic, and the 1 oz Ainslie bars. I expected much more variety in pricing based on looking at their website.
Did u swipe the koalas? LoL The kg kooks are really an incredible deal, perhaps they bought it in 2015 unhedged?
the cheapest is on Silver.com US $19.21, compare prices https://trustedpmdealers.com/compare-prices/1-oz-2019-australian-kookaburra-silver-bullion-coin-9999
Unfortunately, I already bought my kilo monkey last May, which of course is at a record high. I saw the kilo monkey dropped as low as $720+. On hindsight, should have bought a 2nd one. A lot of people on the forums complained about premium, but I bought most of my low premium bars for around $23.3/oz back in May, and this was actually the price that most of the lunars and qb went for in Nov last year, and probably even lower when Silver dipped below $14! If I had discovered silver 6 months later, would I be loading on semi-numis or low-premium?
who knows what can be in 6 months... but we should always look for the most advantageous options. Here on that website that I've shared you can check whatever you want to buy for he lowest price
Some good prices there at Bullion Star compared to retail in Australia. I will be in Singapore soon, might have to drop by and pick up some items. Is Bullion Star the best place in Singapore to buy silver coins?
not always the cheapest, sometimes others are cheaper https://www.silverbullion.com.sg/Shop/Buy/Silver_Coins https://skbullion.com/shop/?metal=silver&form=coin https://sgd.indigopreciousmetals.com/bullion-products/silver/silver-coins.html https://www.goldsilvercentral.com.sg/product-category/buy-silver/buy-silver-coin/
Thanks for that. Definitely some differences between them. I'll go to whichever one is cheapest for what I want when I am in town.
BS has the best location near Clark Quay and Raffles Place mrt station but they are mid to high pricing for not on sale items. They have the widest range of products and carry the most inventory which you walk-in and purchase on the spot after seeing the product. SK and IPM has better pricing for low margin bars and lunar coins but limited inventory. SB SG also has a mid-premium pricing but I got my cheapest kilo lunar at SGD 720+ for the current promotion, which is even cheaper than the kilo pig I bought last September at $730+. Generally speaking, unless it's for sale, the prices in Singapore are usually higher than what you can buy p2p on this forum. This sucks but there's not really a secondary market here.
it would make sense to get something you can only get at the stores eg https://www.bullionstar.com/buy/product/silver-merlion-1oz https://www.goldsilvercentral.com.sg/shop/buy-silver/tianze-gui-silver-bar-1kg/
I was looking at the Merlion and thinking I would get some. I have travelled to Singapore quite a bit, so apart from just the ounces, that coin has a novelty appeal to me. Currently out of stock, hopefully they get more before I arrive.
Is there any place where I can see pics of all the kook designs up to now? I don't really plan on going any farther back, but I also didn't plan on buying the 2013 that I have. It was just so cute that I had to have it.
