Hi guys again thanks for your help so far.

I have acquired these lots of coins and I'm wondering
    1. how do I go about selling them
2.would I sell them in there collections
    3. Would ebay be the best place.
    4. What are trhe most valuable if any.

They are all pristine condition kept in boxes except the Birds of Australia that have marks on the bottom of the outside box.

Keep going diapearl, don't let them put you off.

This is the way they greet most newbies on this website.
p.s. they don't like large font,
BOLD, CAPITAL LETTERS, Colours, or anything that is DiFFeRent. _JOHNLGALT.

On eBay you get a bit more info about the people who are buying from you, which is good. But you also pay 12-15% in fees. On this site you don't pay any fees, but the buyers are not so well regulated. You rarely hear of someone being ripped off, but it does happen.

You do tend to get higher prices on eBay and more interest in the auctions though. Also the auctions are run automatically, where as here, you do all the leg work and arguing with the buyers.

Sell in small lots or individually, with nice large pictures.

Only have one auction going at a time and also have some Buy it now prices if you are in a hurry. Past eBay sales should give you an idea of the market price. Start high and then just drop the prices every couple of days until they sell.

    Good luck

diapearl, you have put plenty of work into your post.

Before you consider selling them, please do plenty of study & research before selling.

As Bill Holter would say "standing watch"

If you don't know who Bill Holter is - You definitely need research & study.

Bill Holter is a red herring, don’t waste your time with him. There are plenty of people on this forum with a better track record than him.

Seeing as everything you have is essentially numismatic it's probably going to take you a fair bit of time to sell all of this

From my observations, a lot of the stuff you have above doesn't sell often on this forum, but that's not to say it won't

Try creating a sales thread in the AUS/NZ sales section of this site, but keep in mind you will need to list your asking price for each and every coin - you might even consider packaging up group lots and offering a slightly better price - win win as more sellers are attracted and quicker/easier for you

Most people on this site however are not going to transfer money to a new member as it could be risky, so you would likely need to send the coins first to trusted members (You can click on their profile name and see how many successful trades they have had here - the more the better and confident you can be they will pay you upon receiving the coins)

Based on the list of coins you have, I would probably go with eBay to be honest. Certainly put up an add on the forum because you might be able to sell some of it, and then for what you don't list on eBay and just do what everyone else on there does which is set the price 15% more than what you actually want so that your fees are covered

    - List set prices for each coin/package of coins
    - Start a thread here (If you're willing to post first to trusted members)
    - Sell on eBay 15% more than what you want

Thanx ill start listing who collects 400 coins of mostly unsalable value. People never buy coins in the hope of passing them onto your family they probably wont appreciate them as much as you and would prefer you to pay off your debts.
    Rant finished

Strongly recommend you sell the Olympic gold coins to a Bullion/coin dealer for spot/just under spot as it's highly unlikely you will achieve a higher price after fees and what not on eBay. Plus you take all the risk when selling on eBay and would be a fair amount for those coins.
