Yes, there was no way to differentiate on the old system whether feedback was left as a buyer or seller - forgive me for not wanting to read through 42,000 feedback posts and make a manual judgement on whether they were for buying or selling
Haha, wouldn't expect that for a second! Thanks again Just curious, are there any other tasks on your "to do list" with the new forum? Feedback was the biggie, so I assume there's just minor stuff if not anything. Forum is great now
Was everyone's trading history automatically transferred? Mine hasn't made it across from the old site.
My feedback was moved over, thanks GP. Click on your avatar and down the bottom it should have trading history.
They are both from the new forum. Nothing has been imported from the old forum for him Just send GP a message and I'm sure he'll look into it
I posted this in the Members section but it seems to have gone unnoticed so hoping GP or anyone else might be able to respond here? Just wondering what's actually going on with Site Sponsors? We have Gold Stackers who run their auctions which are great (although the length of their auctions is way too long and should really be reduced as every auction is the same with plenty of bids within the first 24 hours and then nothing for 10+ days followed by a late snipe at the death), but the two other sub forums "Forum Partners" and "Perth Bullion Company" have not done anything in over 2 years! Why are they still there? And what about Imperial Bullion? They were around not too long ago saying they wanted to become a sponsor and we haven't seen anything since? It would be great if the forum could get a fresh update in this space
There's been a drop in the number of advertisers. It's reflected in normal Google Ads spending as well - I rarely see ads from bullion dealers on any website. That also leads to a drop in the relevance of the Google ads that get displayed on the website. Another factor is I cannot justify continuing to run ads for dealers that run into arrears and won't pay. The new forum has a prepaid model, and even then some ads I've approved in advance of payment as favours have resulted in non-payment.
Thanks for the response, but I was asking about the actual sub forum section and not the adds Forum Partners/Perth Bullion are ghost towns, why do they still exist? And didn't Imperial Bullion want to become a sponsor?
Mentions in the members area..... I did hear due to the weather conditions in the states, it delayed the process with Imperial Bullion officially becoming a site sponsor. In this small time they copped a lot of slack from some members here saying they should become sponsors why are they here? What's going on with my order, it's been three days? Big company butting in etc...etc...I questioned them when in their Chermside shop and they have taken a big back-step from the forum for now. They don't want to tread on any toes and really just trying to run a business and still busy with their expansion. That's not to say they won't be back but I think they were a bit put off by some comments in threads etc. I'm sure they will formally come back when they have everything sorted as they are still opening a new outlet in Brisbane which I am sure takes up a fair bit of time.
