2017 NGC has engaged Shanghai Mint Master class designer to design and mint a medal for NGC 30 th anniversary. However, there is an error on it. Spot the error now and tell us.
Obviously error which get through the approval process and quality control. Hopefully Ngc does not did the same in grading coins and labelling.
Its less likely a spelling error than a spacing error Andrew - look at the bottom of the first two letters in Anniversary....they touch each other as well
This is a discussion in China forum and coin community also. The majority say is spelling error which some part of the process get wrong. However, None of them have the initial draft to compare to the actual item. Generally, the contract will have the design image which can provide us more information to analysis on it.
I agree with Stoic that it's a spacing error. Regardless, still appalling that it got approved for production, especially for a grading company that are supposedly the experts in detecting blemishes!!
The price of it has kept dropping instead of up for the trimetal. However, I seldom see any silver in secondary market
