    G'Day all,

Trying to work out the best size Quadrum holder for my nice new shiny 1oz gold Lunar dog 2018.

The diameter of the coin = 39.34

So was wondering if anybody out there has tried the 39mm or 40mm cases one seems too big the other too small. I know I could just leave it in the Perth mint capsule, but they look so much cooler in the black surround of the Quadrum case.

    Any insight most welcome

    Cheers

In my experience with Quadrums, if there is less than .5mm difference between your 2 size options i.e 39mm vs 40mm, go the smaller one.

Or alternatively, if you super pedantic, you can get blank inserts you can cut to exact specifications.

The blank inserts, do you have any idea of what material made off. Can it be bought somewhere else like hobby shops, office supply stores or particular persons. I like to make a storage case with free size i can cut off each time i acquire gold coins. Thank you

Made from the same pvc/acid free foam as the regular inserts. The blank ones are also made by lighthous.

When I get to the office I'll check my browser history, I bought some a while back I just forget where from haha

I was once frustrated using black foam to my silver coins. The Edges tarnished and being affected by the contact of the foam. Finally those coins are for melting. I will be pleased to know the material Bullion_ron

Oh, it didn't click you were not in Aus.

Regardless, now that you know what you're looking for you can probably get them locally or at worst, eBay
