Probably, yes. The KYC regulations can be a bit of a b*tch, and that's what causes the big headaches during setup. Once decentralised exchanges become the norm (and the decentralised apps to go with them) I think it will become a lot easier.
Are you familiar with localbitcoins.com? The KYC i thought was for companies but the people mentioned wanting photo ID's with the days paper or some other way to determine the picture is legit are individuals. If you are not familiar with the place go have a look and then please some back and tell me they are being extreme (i hope) because it seems like a ridiculous amount of effort to go through. It reminds me of "proof of life" type scenarios in a movie. THIS IS FOR A CASH SALE from a private individual. " For cash deposits at an ATM or branch Please upload a clear photo of yourself holding a Government issued photo identification document such as a passport or a drivers licence. Both the document and yourself must be clearly visible. Please also upload at least one supporting document which shows your current address, such as a Bank Statement or Utility Bill.you'll just need to take a couple photos of the receipt as you make the payment for evidence. No ID or personal information is involved and I can release the bitcoins immediately"
Clif recommended TenX as a long term hold. Compared to Monaco and TokenCard, they already have a working prototype. I think alot of people were misled by the price inflated by the IOUs traded on HitBTC (which noob would obviously believe that?). As for an update, here you go: https://medium.com/tenx-wallet/tenx-pay-a-price-analysis-based-on-facts-d9b20e45c728
Prices have gone below ico price, no one took the very high price from HitBTC seriously. Plus I'm no convinced they have a working product. Apart from some shady videos of people using this card, I haven't seen anything solid. Do you or anyone you directly know have one?
Well to be fair, alot of coins are tanking right now, other than the speculative ones (look at cryptopia for those). Don't get me started on EOS cos they could be recycling the ETH they collected to pump the price up for all you know. I'm still LONG on this project cos they have quite the financial backing to go with it. Just a matter of time to see if they will deliver, just as with all the other companies in the cryptosphere. However, I am looking at METALPAY (MTL) cos they have a like-minded project. Not sure why they didn't have a public ICO cos apparently they sold it all during the pre-sale.
Do you actually own any Altcoins Leo ? I might be wrong here altogether but you seem pretty skeptical all over when it comes to Alt's . I do this thing called speculation, I take some profits and place them in other places which might or might not appreciate over time, some do some don't, I do a bit of research, post some tips, and sometimes argue with others. But you just seem to be one negative son of a bitch all over when it comes to this sphere. Are a Currencist ? or just a skeptic ?
Yes i own a small amount of Altcoin/tokens. The reason I'm skeptical is due to 90% of the market being either rubbish or scams. How much do you know about the dotcom bubble? You would have been the guy attacking people that were warning about all the dodgy stuff going on. Your eyes are blinded by the easy money, you no longer look at true fundamentals. To your fairness, you're young and ignorant. They go hand in hand, so i can't blame you.
No I agree, 90% is rubbish, but then you have Email, Ebay, microsoft, etc etc that eventuated from the dotcom bubble don't you.
What are you arguing about?? Where have i ever said i think all crypto's will fail? What is your point?
OpenAnx has shot up over last 24hrs....might be due to trading of it commencing on binance in next few hrs? Chinese coin on chinese exchange
I am currently holding and investing BTC and bitqy (which is a coin listed in the Top 20 on the ethereum network www.bitqy.org). Out of those two, bitqy has by far the bigger potential as its valued at around 2 cents now and is about to hit 5-6 exchanges.
Yeah. Managed to get in that ICO and surprised to see it shoot up so much already. $DNT, $MCO, $OAX all shot up cos they would be listed on Binance, which is seeing increasing volumes. Amazing.
XRP Litecoin Stratis Iota Factom ARK I've been holding pretty much the same for awhile. They have shot up so much though that the returns have been lackluster lately. I'm tossing around the idea of selling a hundred thousand xrp and placing that some some smaller market cap coins. I have not researched any news ones for awhile though.
Holding blockcat from the ICO. Looks like it has good value because it allows anyone to make their own smart contract easily https://blockcat.io/
Hello All What to look when you select a digital currency? Do you look at the circulating supply? Use of application? The development team? Mining vs non mining? Thinking to play a bit in btcmarket.net and looking at ripple now xrp
Look at real world use case and the potential to disrupt/improve on current business efficiency. That other stuff is important but if you don't have the above 2 things, you're going to end up losing your money.
Further to this I look for platform plays. Both Ethereum and Microsoft are known as “platform plays.” That means they provide a platform for other people to work on. Over the last 30 years, the stocks that created the biggest wealth for shareholders have been platform companies. The top five U.S. companies by market capitalization are all platform companies: Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Amazon. Omisego is another platform play in the form of a payment processor.
