haven't been around since the update, looks like a lot of regulars are not so regular anymore?

Either that or I just have to get used to the new paint.

I'd say the older members are too drunk after spending their bitcoin winnings! :D

Maybe the new site has something to do with it. But I think it's the bearish sentiment for metals that's dampened the mood.

feels somehow less intimate, although I can't put my finger on why.
normally takes me a week to get a feel for a new forum though.

    less spam bots?

Yep, could be both. Being an old fart this way and getting used to the masses of threads takes time to get used to.

"But I think it's the bearish sentiment for metals that's dampened the mood." Still optimistic and stacking at every opportunity, here. Not into trading stuff.

It's strange seeing so much content from the Cryptologists on a precious metals website though, - maybe the oldies feel a bit out of place.

I can't help thinking this year may be the last chance to stack PMs at these low low prices before GFC hits soon.

    Thats what I think.
Prices are similar to 2 years ago.
It will hit you when you least expect it.
With all developments on Mkddle East Europe Asia Russia etc etc its a matter of time...
Those who are strong both financially and emotionally will get through these crisis.

When metals start to increase it ll be game over before you are in the game.

Yep, those that leave stacking to last moment when GFC hits and everyone else wants them may find they can't buy/find them.

I have kept away for a bit, but that is just normal life commitments, as things are kind of back on track for the short term, I have returned we will see long term. One thing that has got me is the change in forum software and the change in address, I tried several times and because my old bookmark did not work I assumed things had gone tits up and I would check back later which I never ended up doing.

I got used to the new forum in a matter of weeks. There are a couple of things I liked better on the old forum but they are only minor.

Your seller feedback is still there. Click on your username and then click on the "trader history" and you will find your 30 feedbacks are there, only they had to be all in under "buying history".

Lucky the silver price is stable. If stackers are so upset from a small change like an update to the forum imagine the response if the price did indeed change and go to the moon.

I hated the new site originally, now I have worked out how to post pics (so easy!) I am happy. Hate that my own posts don't show when selecting "new posts" but all else is good. Many ppl missing but many new joining which wasn't happening before update.

This thread made me buy Bitcoin - I actually thought it had been started by GP but no. https://www.silverstackers.com/forums/index.php?threads/bitcoin-at-parity-with-silver.37121/

I do not think that the rise of crypto scared off old members as conversations during this era included many investment options with bullion as its core which I think this site still represents. It's just evolving. Since then the index has increased yes but we always chatted about realestate, shares, numis, forex etc etc.

I think the fed has worn some people down, the excitement with every $ increase that silver made was bliss & the downturn then sideway movement is hard to bare.

I have not lost faith, we have always been just 1 black swan away from reliving those times.

The question has always been when. Not if.

Hit the "Recent posts" link on the right hand side of the screen, just above the yellow strip. That will show threads you've posted in as well as threads with other replies.

I was never bullish on silver, less so now.
Most people who have bought and held have been burned.

Also lurking. I don't like the new format but then I still believe in kero fridges. I am the problem and not the site. Besides that, neither metal is exciting at the moment. I am buying and holding but will dump the lot when there is a modicum of improvement.
