It is a gamble tent for china or speculators. The government has set new rules and check them more regular since 2016 to lead to the collapse of speculation.

Double sword edges - good stuff with high mintage release to market at very Low price for them to recover cash. This benefit collectors who want high relief restrike medals which they have no financial ability to buy. Now it is cheap but it is restrike and high mintage so potential of investment is not there or Low. However some collectors do not care of it.

Disdavangets - the flood to market due to this misleading the market. Some veteran and pretended veteran do not tell full information and twist the information lead to more complication which newbies and so call collectors with many years experience confuse. Some Old collector ego are Super high and pretend knowing it but not knowing full of it. So the confusing information might hurt the market. Those online medals which is restrike and high mintage is totally different with original and Low mintage items.

    Everywhere...simultaneously

Are you able to identify and differential the original strikes from the re-strikes? Or are the re-trikes identical?

Yes I can BUT not all. You need familiar with all medals old and new.

As everyone know which china coins and medals has no complete information especially the early years.

NO one compile the information in english. It has some in mandarin.

Thus, english speaker has disadvantage on it.

Wow andrewlee10, that video showcases many astonishing Chinese medals! I felt like a kid with a sweet tooth inside the proverbial candy store watching that video. I must start buying Chinese medals and give up on some of the bullion coins I had my eyes set on.

Diversify is important if you have investment in mind. I did the same for my own portfolio.

I more on Gold BUT brass for big non fiat coin which is play on hand is amazing. However the shipping cost is killing.

I bought a pair of Brass(?) coins a few years ago but have very little info about them.

I would appreciate if anyone can read the certificates or recognise these medals.
I figure they are the God of War & Wealth but unsure if offical mint etc. I bought them because I liked them & added to my parcel from Frank.
    Thanks for looking.

Shanghai new century mint who good in big medal but weak in small medal.

Private mint not an official mint.

300 mintage. It should be 3 pieces to form a set

Xi-Shi is imo one of the most beautiful Chinese medals (released after 2000). I was hoping it will be a series and that they will release a 2nd medal, but it seems this won't happen.

Sponsor has no money to do it. Some sellers try to keep the momentum of it by saying the next will come from last 2 years and romor which the Salt water pearl Xi Shi will mint. All wishes and romors but no action.

I left 5 pieces silver if not wrong. Not intention to sell it sooner.
