Membership Levels
Several free and paid membership levels are available for the Silver Stackers forum. An exclusive private trading forum, "The Trading Floor", is also available for premium members and sponsors.
New Member (free)
A new member of Silver Stackers is someone who has registered in the last 7 days. New members are upgraded to regular membership after 7 days, and have some temporary restrictions, including:
- some profile settings disabled, such as website and signature
- read only access to some forums such as General Discussion
- single thread in Buy, Swap & Sell (location must be set in profile)
Member (free)
A regular member of Silver Stackers has normal forum access, including access to the General Discussion and Buy, Swap & Sell forums. Members have some restrictions, including:
- maximum of 10 threads every 30 days in Buy, Swap and Sell (location must be set in profile)
- no access to the exclusive Trading Floor trading forum
Dealers may hold this membership level and participate on Silver Stackers, however disclosure of industry participation is required as per forum rules.
Silver Stacker - Premium Member (most popular!)
Silver Stackers are premium members who have purchased a paid membership of the forum. Memberships are available for a period of 12 months, and are available exclusively to private individuals - not dealers. Silver Stackers have some increased privileges on the forum, including:
- maximum of 20 threads every 30 days in Buy, Swap and Sell
- access to the exclusive Trading Floor trading forum, including any special offers by advertisers or site sponsors
Site Sponsor
Site Sponsor is an alternative premium membership for dealers who wish to trade on Silver Stackers, without the expense of a banner advertisement or dedicated subforum. Purchase of this membership is not compulsory for dealers to participate on Silver Stackers, however is encouraged. This membership includes the following privileges:
- maximum of 60 threads every 30 days in Buy, Swap and Sell
- access to the exclusive Trading Floor trading forum, including any special offers by advertisers or site sponsors
Premium Sponsor
Premium Sponsors are advertisers who have purchased a banner advertisement or purchased a dedicated trading forum. This membership includes the following privileges:
- maximum of 60 threads every 30 days in Buy, Swap and Sell
- access to the exclusive Trading Floor trading forum, including any special offers by advertisers or site sponsors
- prominent brand visibility
Platinum Sponsor
Platinum Sponsors are advertisers with both a banner advertisement and a dedicated trading forum.

Advertising on Silver Stackers
Several forms of advertising are available on Silver Stackers for relevant products and services that would be of interest to our readers.
Banner advertisements measuring 468 x 60 pixels are the standard form of advertising on Silver Stackers, and the most visible. Banners are displayed on almost every page of the website, and are seen by thousands of readers a month. These banners can be linked directly to your own website, or to your own dedicated sponsor forum, available separately.
Technical requirements: Silver Stackers will host the advertisement image file. Accepted file types are JPEG, PNG and GIF, of the exact dimensions required. Due to previous issues with Flash advertising, Flash advertisements are not currently being accepted. Animated GIF files are an accepted alternative if you require a dynamic advertisement.
Tracking: Google Analytics tracking is used to monitor the number of unique visitors and total clicks from your banner ad to your website, and performance reports are available any time on request.
Sponsor forums are exclusive subforums available to dealers for posting direct offers to forum members. These are just like the Buy, Swap and Sell forums, however you will have exclusive privileges for starting new threads that are distinctly separate from normal trading threads. Ideal for smaller dealers without their own web presence, or for any dealer looking to conduct regular trading on the forum.
