Strange, probably fake platinum bars

    Some random guy offered me platinum bars, they look fake as hell to me. Supposedly they weight 1kilo.

    Anyone ever seen something like this? To me this looks like something from alibaba.

    Looks well made to be a fake
    Unless you have access to a XRF machine I wouldn't touch it

    Being platinum it should be really heavy for it's size
    Does it actually weigh 1kg ?

    I bought one of those precious metal machines that have a "bullion" wand attachment. That means I can confirm anything (everything) I buy, and it checks deep into the coin/bar. It has a Platinum setting, but I don't think it can differentiate that from palladium due to very similar electromagnetic properties.
