Well....indifferent news...a contact in Europe does have access to 2oz 2008 Lunar bu's...not proof, not coloured .....but they are Series 1.
Got feelers out across 3 continents so will see what crops up over next month or so.

month or so , got feelers out

i thought they were occasionally seen for $ 200 where are they

so i think $ 400 is a fair price cause of there rarity

thought you would have one in a week or so

^ I said occasionally not every week.
Your definition of occasionally as every week vastly differs from most peoples and with that attitude I quite frankly don't feel inclined to assist you now.
I will let people know not to bother going out of their way to look for these.

    Cheers,
    Stoic.

One just sold on the forum 30 minutes ago for $200 but with a scuff on the Lizard's cheek. Talking about the S2 dual date 2 oz Lunar Mouse.

That had been for sale all the while this convo was going on, but being dual dated I assume it's S1 and not S2 and the guys here are talking about S2. There's no such thing as a S2 dual date is there?

From what I understand, they released Series 1 Mouse, Ox and Tiger in 2007 to be inline with their Gold Coin series, so those 3 S1's are dual dated being made in 2007 but representing 08,09,10 where as the S2 was just released in 2008 as per it's year

S1 don't fetch the same $$$ as S2. The mintage is irrelevant. S2 is a more "collected" series therefore it fetches more.

s1 2oz can easily fetch $400 or close to it and I think much more collectable than s2 . s2 mouse in my view is a hype.

Maybe. I can only comment on the demand and enquiries I get through the shop and through talking with other dealers. I know I have a list of people chasing s2 bullion coins (including the mouse). I have a very much shorter list of people chasing s1. I can source most of the s1 stuff as people need it at a reasonable price. s2 availability (pre 2014 stuff) is very patchy at best and prices are rarely reasonable.

If he manages to get a 2 oz mouse (series 2, BU) for that price then that's a great job. I had to pay close to $500 for one, and that was a few years ago. I still have it and won't be selling it because I want the full set and getting another one seems close to impossible. Every Ebay lead I've ever seen ends up being a coloured one or otherwise a scam.
