So my first order two 1/10 bars

If I read about Platinum it seem a no brainer as a good investment
But so far no excitement for me
    Old - - New or scratched - - any silver coin , I like
Gold any shape or form triggers emotion
The two 1/10 bars was like " so this is Platinum "
Am I gonna stack it ?? Hmm

I guess I'll stay with it , I hope I get a feel for it

For platinum, in order for me to have the same good feeling as gold and silver I have to go with pandas, koalas, platinum eagle proofs. Something smalll with a changing design.

    Copperhead,
I think you are on the right track. Platinum is a good investment. Get yourself some 1oz Platypus or Pamp and I think you find it more attractive.

Did you check the declared mintages in the link on their website for the year. Sometimes the final mintage is vastly lower than maximum, but granted your example is pretty extreme. lol

I love the crazy low mintages of the old platinum proof koalas but I'd assumed they were all in the hundreds at least, 80 is awesome. I really like the series from a collector standpoint and I wish Perth would do fractional platinum platypus with annual design change but even with the price of Platinum being relatively low I don't think they'll do any new fractional platinum offerings.

I have had my "finger on the trigger" for platinum for some time now but just can't bring my self to buy. I'm the same, in that I will probably just need to buy some to get excited about it. I'm drawn to platinum maples as they are made from Canadian mined metals.

I don't want to get too far away from the mainstream of G & S, too hard to convince anyone but a dealer that it is worth anything.

After SHTF Day dawns the licenced dealer will be obliged to record EVERY transaction. The KGB will be around the next night at 2AM.

....... i would say ALOT more people know that platinum is worth something than silver being worth something. If a SHTF day dawns, u wont have to worry about dealers let alone a licensed one still operating. And it will be some time after a SHTF that they would start with the KGB stuff.
